A Brief Note on Washington

A Brief Note on Washington
Anthony PAnthony P
Beautiful fountain area built in the early 1900s, so workmanship is exquisite and detail over the top. Surrounded by the state flags by order of admission to the union, this beautiful building and statue offers unobstructed views of the Capitol Building. Plenty of food choices abound within Union Station with metro, bus, and bike share stations on site.

Located right in front of Union Station, this is a wonderful green space with some amazing works of art. The only downsize is the homeless that will bother you to no end at times for a smoke or change. But they aren’t aggressive and mostly keep to themselves.

Columbus Circle in DC, also known as Union Station Plaza, holds historic significance as a grand entrance to the capital. However, despite its prime location near Union Station and the Capitol, its maintenance leaves much to be desired. The brick plaza and iconic Columbus Fountain are aging and seem neglected, with landscaping and infrastructure needing urgent attention. For a site so central to Washington, DC’s image, proper funding and care are long overdue to preserve its dignity and functionality. Immediate budget allocation is essential to restore Columbus Circle to the respect and grandeur befitting the...

Such a beautiful place to be, but the traffic is a bit crazy. Where people don't follow the traffic lights and you end up not being able to turn because the lane is blocked and you have a green arrow. Park farther away and walk or take the train. If you are a local, take the night tour! Everything is more beautiful and more quiet and all of the tourists have gone for the day. Lol. Very beautiful if you love architecture, you'll love the stroll...

Beautiful architect. Always super busy and crowded. I recommend not driving here unless you must. It is better to use public transportation or uber. Very hard to maneuver if, you are handicapped alone, but it can be done. Wheelchair accessible, but like I mentioned very busy all the time. Be careful of pedestrians and traffic. It is a great place to go and enjoy. A must to visit, if you are visiting...
