Streets Market — Local services in Washington

This is a wonderful market for Adam Morgan neighborhood. However, I had bad / unfriendly experiences with 2 female cashiers on a few different occasions. They were not friendly and seem unhappy with what they were doing. For example: this morning I stopped by to get a few pies and produce. I asked for double bags and the cashier lady instantly gave me an attitude. She was very rough on the pie as she scanned them and threw them aggressively into the bags. The produce at this particular branch of Streets Market on Columbia Road, in Washington, DC, is excellent. All very fresh, and all the sliced fruits, etc. are excellent. Every one of the Staff at this Branch are very, very helpful, friendly and professional. I can’t say any particular one as every single person is. But Jermaine, on Tuesday, 19th May went over and above, and was so very helpful, and really super. Also, Oscar (I think that’s his name) on the door too. I never write reviews and much less for a grocery store but these people are consistently unpleasant and outright rude to all customers. Not just one bad experience, this happens every time I decide to try again. This week had a particularly bad experience with one woman and on other occasions have heard staff gossiping about customers. As someone who has worked in service and is a generally nice human (!!!), I’m honestly shocked and will not be returning. None of my friends in the area go anymore either.
