I had a beautiful painting handed down to me recently, but the frame was in really bad shape. I checked at some big box stores but it was quickly obvious that the frames I found there would be a disservice to my family heirloom. I remembered the Picture Frame Factory since I had visited a few years back and had a good experience. I stopped by a few Saturdays ago to do some browsing, but ended up learning a lot about the art of framing! The owner actually remembered me! He was so helpful and nice and he showed me a lot of options for frames that would complement the color and style of the painting.Truly a master at his craft. After much internal debate, we decided on a frame that I couldn't be happier with. It sets the painting off beautifully and I've received many compliments from my family about what a big improvement the current frame is from the old one. I wish that all customer service was this good- knowledgeable, friendly and professional....

I would highly recommend this framing store to anyone in the DC area. The gentleman who runs/owns the shop is wonderful. He makes great suggestions, is willing to clearly explain the pricing, and the quality of work is worth the slightly higher cost.

I recently had a 25 year old, large (27" by 40") Batik framed here. The entire experience was fantastic! The Batik had some damage, including a rip in a portion of it; because of this I was not sure how to have it framed. The gentleman walked me through my options and suggested a great frame that I wouldn't have noticed without his help.

When I arrive to pick it up I was shocked - it looked like I had just purchased a brand new Batik. He had repaired the rip, placed the frame so it was not noticeable, and the framing he has suggested looks absolutely fantastic with the color and image. I recently took a few of my best wedding photos here to get framed and could not be happier with the results!!! I personally don't know much about framing, but wanted to use frames that really made the pictures stand out. The owner and his wife were very patient and kind, and walked me through what options looked best. I felt very comfortable trusting their judgement and am extremely happy that I did! He used a double matte with an excellent color scheme. He also advised using a non-glare glass with the frame, which I am glad I went with. He has an excellent eye for framing and will not disappoint.

Everyone who sees the photos and frame compliment them. I will definitely be coming back here for all other framing projects, and I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality custom framing.
