We drove to DC and paid for a parking spot during our 8-day stay. A full-sized SUV would likely not be able to navigate the alley or park in the right spaces. The Metro is only a few blocks away, the neighborhood feels safe even at night, quaint restaurants abound, and people are friendly. Prior to our arrival, we received a very informative email travel guide. The directions were excellent. The room had a basket of brochures for the area. The kitchenette even included a vase for flowers, a reusable grocery bag, and coffee/tea. |A few hours prior to our arrival, we received a call from Kevin, telling us that the keypad entry system to our room (#8) was not working and there'd be keys on the table. He encouraged us to let him know if we had questions or needed anything. Upon entering the room, my husband noted a sour smell he suspected was the drain. This smell improved once we used the shower. It's small but nice. After 4 days, I went to the laundry room to get fresh towels and place the used towels in either the washer or a basket. There were clothes in the washer and dryer and no clean towels visible. Since the dryer contained damp linens, I cleaned the filter and restarted it. At this point, I texted Kevin. He said that he would have the housekeeper bring some. Upon removing them a few hours later, I realized they were soured. The clothing previously in the washer was still in the washer. I knew it was the same clothing due to its distinct color. They, too, were soured. My husband felt uncomfortable with moving someone else's clothing. I again texted Kevin. He did not reply. That evening, with no towels, I went to the dryer and pulled out a few minimally soured towels. In the remaining 4 days of our stay, we never received any linens...

Read moreThis hotel has no reception service. If you're an international traveler, make sure your phone reception works in the US. Because you have to call them to get the access code to be able to enter the building. By the way, don't expect to find the phone number anywhere visible at the entrance. So make sure you also saved their number in advance! Congrats, you made it inside the hotel and are welcomed by the musty air. The next challenge is to open your room by entering a code of 9-10 digits. Make sure you don't time out! Finally you're in your room after a long travel. Time to have a relaxing shower! You open the bathroom door and that amazing musty smell is even more warmly welcoming you this time. Anyway just hop in the shower. Oops, there are no bathroom products provided as promised (just a small shampoo hidden in the drawer, maybe left behind by the previous guest). So make sure you've got your own. You're staying maybe 7 nights, maybe less maybe longer... Doesn't matter,... in this hotel there's no such thing called housekeeping service. Not even worth mentioning the gap under your door bringing light into your room or wonderful vibrations waking you up in the middle of the night by your fellow hotel guests entering the building or wandering their room above you. By the way, if you're staying in studio #3, don't expect a pleasant panorama from your room window. What else you may want? The hotel of everyone's dreams! Pros: Good location and great WiFi signal. It was nice of the manager's husband to show up the first night to give me the...
