When I was a small child back in the 40's I was looked after by the employees of this wonderful library. They knew when I came in I was hungry and cold sometimes. They allowed me to set in an old rocker and read to my hearts content. They took me under their wings and gave me milk and food. The whole neighbourhood knew of my plight. The bicycle man on park road allowed me to borrow a bike and I would help him put the rentals for the day. The pharmacy up on the corner gave me sodas and eats. I put the papers out for them in the mornings. Their was a small café that gave me food and I would gather up bags of garbage and take to the alley. I came from a very dysfunctional home at 1654 Park road. But, the library I remember the most. New hats and gloves would appear in the winter. I particularly remember the murals in the childrens part of the library. I visited the library in 2017. I realize this was so many years later but the memories are fond. Read moreI love my neighborhood library they allow lots of services and activities specially for children. I can't believe anyone who is living in Mount Pleasant is not part of the library. Specially, if you have kids, I love the welcoming environment and the warmness that fill out the entire place .you can print 20 pages Color a day which is great advantage that makes me give up buying a new printer. We will miss it so much until it reopens back after renovations. The kids laying area was always a safe place for children to play specially in bad weather across from the library. There is a playground make it a perfect destination in...

I've been going to the library on a weekly basis to borrow books and to reserve a room for a private language class that my son takes. The private study and conference rooms are clean spacious and usually available for reservation. Books that are not available in the library can be easily requested and placed on hold when they arrive. I receive timely emails regarding the reserved rooms and when the books arrived. The library is spacious and welcoming. The staff is always helpful...
