Ivy's was the second psychic my friend and I went to see, the first had been gone with no note, and wouldn't pick up our calls. We went to Ivy on a whim, the closest and highest rated. My friend and I had hoped to do this for a couple weeks, thought it would be a fun way to spend an afternoon before school and work took all our time away. As soon as we arrived I knew we were in the right place.

Ivy can read people like a book, I immediately felt as though she was examining me cover to cover as we walked up to her on the porch. But the thing is she doesn't have the time to read a biography every time someone shows up for a last minute appointment, or we didn't have the money. She was very kind to us about pricing though, understanding our situation and sympathetic about the flakiness of her peers. She was accommodating and kind the whole time we were there.

I felt as though the tarot cards we ended up paying for acted more like a table of contents for her. Because we picked them out she used them to tell us what we wanted to know about ourselves. Whereas I feel like most psychics use the tarot cards as a guide she didn't need them for that. She could've easily picked us all apart and read us aloud cover to cover but she used the cards as her outline, picking to read what we asked her. She got distracted occasionally, in my opinion that only added to the ambiance and aesthetic of the whole place, and would read from other sections, but I never felt as though her readings were inaccurate. She believed what she was saying, her readings were for the most part scarily accurate, and I enjoyed myself. Those are, I think, the three qualities most indicative of psychic worth the time and money. Ivy is, and there's no doubt in my mind, the real deal and worth every penny.

My friend and I will one hundred percent be coming back with more people besides and recommending her to anyone who asks. I feel like I left with more purpose, more ideas about how to handle my relationships and less worried about my future. She's funny and doesn't mince words, and just a general breeze to be around. Even if you aren't a die hard believer (I'm not) you can still have fun spending some money, getting some perspective, and enjoying excellent company.

I'm glad my friend and I got this time together and I'm glad Ivy could read us on such short notice....

I’m writing to avoid people getting into the same trap I did. I’m not saying she doesn’t have any psychic abilities, but the prices on her website are much lower than she said it would be once I got there. The cheapest option was 180 and she said I needed a spiritual cleansing and needed to return and I had to pay upfront. She didn’t have a card processing machine and followed me to a atm and told me not to forget her tips because that’s how she makes her money, after telling me during the 30 minute reading she was so famous worldwide she didn’t need money. She didn’t tell me anything about the future because she said I needed to do the spiritual cleansing first. So I paid 200 dollars for 30 minutes of a very superficial about the present followed by aggressive requests for money (“how much can you give me? I’m giving you this package because you need it”). I cannot begin to explain how much Ivy helped me during my reading. i've gotten my reading done before but this was NOTHING like it. she was very upfront, informative and made me feel less tense which helped a lot. In DC/Nova area its always skeptical of where you get your reading. My cousin and i went last minute and didnt know she only took appointments and we caught her on her way out but she was so nice and said she wouldnt mind putting her dinner plans later on to our reading which both lasted quite a while. The fact that she sacrificed her plans for our reading really meant a lot and im truly glad she did because others wouldnt do what she did for us.
