Staples — Local services in Waterloo

I’ve been coming to this Staples location for 8 months, and the experience has been consistently terrible. Customer service is awful—there’s always a long line of people waiting, while at least five employees are doing random tasks: one is cutting paper, another is posting a sign outside, and no one is actually helping customers. There’s no sense of urgency or organization.

The store itself is a mess. It’s dirty, disorganized, and there are boxes lying all over the place. It’s shocking that a place handling business mail can’t maintain even basic order. Every time I come to pick up my mail, there’s an issue. They never know the mailbox codes, mail is missing, and if it weren’t for the app, I probably wouldn’t get my correspondence at all.

Where’s the manager? Who’s in charge here? Because it’s clear there’s zero oversight and no effort to improve. It’s extremely frustrating that I can’t switch locations since all my business mail comes here, but this is definitely not...

Absolute horrible and terrible customer service!! Took 30 minutes just to get someone to even help us, woman in mask with arm sling proceeded to be rude when the person I was with was simply trying to explain what was going on when we were trying to print car insurance cards. She literally told the person I was with "you can just stop talking!" It was absolutely unnecessary, rude, disrespectful and honestly disgusting. I have worked customer service most of my life and I have never delt with anyone as rude and unprofessional as this person, including from a customer. I would never EVER tell a customer to stop talking or to shut up, especially when they are simply just trying to explain what was going on with their printer not working correctly. First time in a STAPLES other than Dallas. A little different; not as busy as I'm use to, but it's okay. In looking for a calculator, thought I'd snap some pics for you to get an idea of the place. At first it looked like it'd be almost closed. Not as much on the shelves that I'm use to seeing. Then again, I'm comparing to a bigger city. Important to me is CLEANLINESS and SERVICE. They had both. Asked Andrea behind the counter where to find the calculators and even though she wasn't 100%, told me the correct isle.
