Well I spent way more money and time here then I probably should have. It was worth it in the end so who am I to even say. I got the Downtown Diner, no regrets here! Looks real good with my other sets. I'm getting sidetracked this isn't about my experience with Lego it's about my experience with this individual store, and I can't let my biased weigh the odds to heavily. First word comes to mind is "overwhelming" second is " bright" third is "welcoming" I was in this location for what could have been hours building up mini figures, grabbing bricks from the wall, and making the decision which set I wanted. The staff here where like busy bees stocking shelves, helping customers, and making the place look like a dime! The inclusion of having built models on display helped me make my choice on which set to choose and I took so many pictures for my wish list. I really liked that there are tables with areas for kids to play. I mean after all it's a TOY STORE, and toy stores are made for kids, Not collectors hence why it's bright, overwhelming, and welcoming. I as a collector not a kid had a hard time with the build a mini figure station (since it's made for children) but it didn't make me not want to build my whole family for my nephew! (It's cool that it's 15pc instead of just three figures with hair/hat and accessory) the staff here where super helpful and I will be leaving them a good review and whatnot through the website. All and all this store helped set off my staycation right! The great moods of the staff, the product which I seaked out, and the ability to see all the sets I've been wanting to know fist hand what they looked like!...
Read moreSince June of this year, my 6 year old son and I have been going to the allergist at Mayfair mall. While this would normally be an arduous task for my child, he looks forward to it every week because we visit the Lego store. We have been there almost every single Monday night over the last 6 months, so my overall experience with the store isn't a 1 chance, brief encounter.
The store is always spotless, no dirt, debris, or odors. The shelves are as well stocked as they can be, and the only time I ever saw empty boxes laying around was around Christmas time when they had more product than they had shelf space.
The product selection is vast, and they are pretty good about keeping hot items in stock. They also rotate inventory often enough to keep my son interested every week and keep things fresh.
With all that being said, the number one reason I am writing this review and the reason they have earned 5 stars is because of their staff. They are all incredibly nice, knowledgeable and passionate about the hobby. Even though most of the time, we don't buy anything, they treat us as if we are their best customer, and make sure our experience in the store is optimal. They are always sure to welcome us and give extra attention to my son and love to answer his many questions. This store and the staff are a SHINING example of how a retail store should run and operate. The Legos are a great product, but when you have a GREAT staff standing behind those products the sell is...
Read moreThis is by far the kindest Lego store! My kids have the Lego passports, so as we travel, we make sure to visit all the different locations. We have been to many Lego locations, and this one was the most welcoming. There was a special event going on that we were unaware of, and the employees explained it all very well. The event was organized and structured. Another employee helped me navigate the Lego website, showing me where I can find when these events are taking place and also shared that as an insider there are special in store promotions. I had no idea! So my kids had the opportunity to build a Lego witch AND get a neat keychain. The cashier was awesome with my kids. She helped them with choosing stamps for their passports and sharing extra Halloween sticker treats. There was another employee who chatted with my son about The Legend of Zelda and then surprised us by pulling the Gameboy display for my kids to look at and explore. I can honestly say we've never had a bad experience in a Lego store, but this location surpasses all the others we've visited. If you are local or passing through, I definitely suggest going here! Thank you Lego employees for creating a great experience to end our little...
