Five Guys: Burgers and Fries Five Guys is the nicest place to enjoy a meal because of their great burgers and fries, welcoming staff, and clean restaurant. Five Guys has been around for almost thirty-five years, located all over the U.S. Many people, such as Lebron James and Barack Obama, say it is the best burger known to man. The thing that makes Five Guys so special is the love and care that the staff puts into making each singular burger and fry. This is why Five Guys is one of the nicest places to enjoy a meal. Five Guys has been making the same burgers and fries since the beginning. The standard meal you’d purchase from Five Guys is a double patty burger cut from fresh beef with soft, seeded buns, and any toppings you’d like. The mixture of the patty and bun make for one of the greatest burgers to exist. The fries are second to none. After being dipped twice in peanut oil, and salted to absolute perfection, these fries are beyond compare. At most restaurants you’d get a little cup of fries after ordering a small size, but at Five Guys you get an entire lunch bag full of fries after only ordering a small, but there just never seems to be enough. When you take your first step into a Five Guys restaurant, you are overcome with this warm feeling of comfort because of how polite each person who works there is. Whether they’re taking your order, making burgers behind the counter, or mopping the floor, they’re always looking for ways to make your stay easier. If it’s your first time coming in, they’ll explain to you what would be the best option to order so you don’t get ripped off or end up with too much food. Whenever you’re there, you are not only fed great food, but treated with the respect you deserve. This is why you’ll find yourself returning to this restaurant time and time again. Not only does Five Guys have the best quality food, but they have the best quality restaurants as well. When you enter Five Guys, the first thing you’ll notice is your reflection in the ground because of how clean it is. You won’t find a single napkin, piece of food, or any spills on the ground because of how many times the staff is mopping during the day. I find the best comparison to the cleaning staff at Five Guys are the ball boys in tennis matches that run out and grab a ball every time it is caught on the net. The only difference is the Five Guys staff are running over, picking up a piece of trash, and throwing it out. Not only are the floors clean, but the chairs, tables, counters and bathrooms are all spotless as well. Five Guys is the nicest place to enjoy a meal because of their great burgers and fries, welcoming staff, and clean restaurant. After a stressful day, going to Five Guys will make all the difference in your mood. You will leave this place better than when you came into it. You don’t just feel satisfied by the food, but you feel satisfied in yourself for making such a great decision to attend this restaurant. This is why Five Guys is the nicest place to...
Read moreI have always been a fan of Five Guys, but after my experience on Dec 30th. I might have to find a different burger joint.
I placed an online order on Dec 30th around 6PM. Shortly after I received a call from the store, the employee stated due to the holidays they closed early and would be unable to make my order. While disappointed I wouldn't get to eat my nice fatty burger, no big deal. I told the guy, that's fine, just cancel the order and refund my order. That's when things got interesting. I was informed that the stores are unable to refund online orders, but that they would hold my order and make it the next day. Well, what good does that do me. So, I said no thank you, I just want my refund. The guys then told me to go back on their ordering site and cancel the order, that in the mean time he would call his GM to see if he could refund my order. So, I quickly went on my phone and nothing...there's no way to cancel an order. A few minutes later I got a call back and was told the GM also can not refund an online order. So anyway, long story short, I've spoken to two people at the store and called customer service, now 5 days later I still haven't received a refund. It seems that only the Franchise owner, Regional Manager or District Manager are able to deal with situations like this. All Customer Service can do is take down information and pass it on for someone else to deal with.
To say the least, I've never experienced anything like this before. Now I find myself out $30+ and disappointed in my local Five Guys. It seems I will now have to live without my favorite...
Read moreSo, I've been to Five Guys twice now. And like my first time there. I left after my second visit thinking the same thing... this place is OVERPRICED!
Yes, the quality of the food is THERE. Natural fries cooked in peanut oil(you can smell it). 100% beef burgers cooked well and never greasy. Great.
But seriously? Almost $8 for a freaking double cheeseburger?! With really no difference than most places... no really interesting or crazy condiment choices... they're not huge... they're normal size burgers that are just a little better quality than some. That's it!
Why so damn expensive?! I guess maybe they try and make up for the steep price by throwing extra fries in the order. But, to me, NOTHING will justify a freakin' normal burger and fries for $10 or more! That's ridiculous!
Maybe I'm a cheap ass... but I CAN understand paying a little more for quality! But $8 for a burger?! $4 for a regular fries is justified by the amount you get.
At least a place like AJ Bombers throws in some interesting things for their burgers to justify their prices...
Can't say I'll be back anytime soon... especially since this is also the second time the cashier has seemed to be in a mood... if you don't like your job at least put on a friendly smile or quit...
Oh, and another thing, the menu prices Google shows are NOT correct! I wish they were as the prices shown on here are...
