Saw an add for 20 dollars off your first visit when you sign up to be a member so the wife and I decided to have our anniversary dinner there. Went online to make the reservation and it asked if it was a special event, so we put down anniversary but nothing ever came from that. Once we showed up for our reservation the hostess was very nice and showed us to our table. After we sat down about a minute later another person was sat at the table next to ours and their waiter showed up right away and got their drink order to them before our waiter ever showed up about 10 to 15 minutes later. Once our waiter did show up, I don't know if he was having a bad day or thought we were poor by how we were dressed (just left a brewers game) and he had a very angry demeanor about him. Like he did not want to be serving us. He asked if it was our first time there and when we said yes he seemed to get more upset by it. After he explained how everything works, we give him our drink order and he mostly demanded we go try the salad bar. The salad bar wasn't bad but was hoping for more fruit choices and some type of cracker for the cheeses they have. The choices they do have are good so that's a plus for them. Once the waiter came back with our pitcher of sangria he poured it and then left for mostly the remainder of our dinner. Which sucked because we wanted to request some of the meats again but he never came back to ask how things were going or if we needed anything. He spent most of the time with his other table which was next to ours and the bar were he kept talking to one of his coworkers. The one time we did make eye contact he quickly walked away to the other table. Toward the end of the dinner he did stop by quickly to pour the last cups of sangria and then left before I could finish chewing the food in my mouth to ask for dessert. After that we waited about another 20 minutes and tried some more of the meats that came by before he stopped by again. At that point we were both to full to have dessert so we just asked for the check. He saw I had a coupon pulled up on my phone and got visible upset again. He took a picture of it then left and came back with the check. Paid the bill and left. Still left a tip. Don't know why they asked if it was a special event on the reservation if they didnt do anything about it. Glad the brewers won other wise our anniversary would of been killed by this dinner. The food was pretty good some of the meats were a little to salty and a couple were over cooked (the lamb & filet mignon). The pitcher of sangria was good want to try the mango next time and will probably come back but if they give me the same waiter...
Read moreWell it was 40 plus bucks for a buffet style salad bar and then the staff brought out different meats to offer while you ate the salad bar and sides. Okay great im thinking that this might be cool. Well the service was not good at all. It annoys me when the cost of the place suggests the service will be great. For a $67 bill just for myself and all i had was a glass of wine on top of the price of the seat at the table is was dissapointed. She took our drink order from the party of 13 and (it was not busy at all we were her only table mind you) she had to call out the drinks!!! I was like girl you just wrote them down and you cant remember??? One of the guest (the guest of honor) had a strawberry lemonaid. She went on about how they make their own and it was called something different. Well that made the guest kinda nervous and was very particular about it being just a strawberry lemonaid. She assured him it was great. Okay so it arrives and its a 99 cent bottle from the gas station witb strawberry sauce on rhe side!! Gag right!! She didnt even bother to let him know as the option for refills would require purchasing an entire nother one. So now the 99 cent was 4.75 because it was yelled out at this restaurant "who has the strawberry lemonaid. Come on. Now the meats are coming around and you would think they would be something more then a mini corn dog size sausages. Really the sausage was half size just like the chicken lag or whatever it was in was not even kidding less then 2 inches long! It was a bite size bummer! Then the other options come and the beef okay they will just take it off like they did the others. Nope a what looked like filet mignon was sliced thinly and it was a joke. The taste of it all was nothing to write home about and i would rather go to gorge webbs. This place was a huge miss for me all the way around. Over priced the worst service and oh dont want to forget that she was annoyed at the end when we asked to have the check split. She litterly said well this is going to take me awbile so i hope you have some time!! Thats when i lost it. I didnt care if she heard me. I was a server for a long time and when my table pays my bills they will never feel me annoyed if anything that is the time to impress them and give a positive experiance. I will never go to this place...
Read moreTo start off we came to Texas De Brazil from West Bend which is about 30 miles away and about 35 minutes, but this day was a snow storm so it took us almost a full hour as traffic was slowed down from the snow. Upon arrival we checked in and I will have to say neither of the host where in anyway welcoming. In fact they were pretty much rude like we messed their night up because we ended up being 5 minutes late to our appointment. I’m not sure how that would have matter since more than half the restaurant was empty. Our waiter asked us if any of us have been there before and we all responded no. At that point he then told us the different drinks they offered. Most time when we go out to dinner we all get water not a big soda drinking family and being that it was a snow storm we didn’t really plan on having drinks. You could tell that he was not happy none of us ordered drinks and that we could go to the cold bar and that people would bring the different cuts of meat around to the table. Still no real instruction as to how things worked besides the Red and Green card you flip over if your done eating or taking a break from the meat selection. As the servers would bring the different meats around it would take us all 2 or 3 times of asking what they had because they did not speak very loud so it was hard to hear them or we just couldn’t understand them. I want to be very clear on this none of the meat servers were rude in any way we just could not hear them when they would speak and all the meats served were very good. As to our server he was absent most the meal but showed up at the end to tempt us with desert and this was the only time he smiled or interacted with the table. In my eyes it was because he was about to sell us something again Desert and drinks. We did plan on getting desert and I myself ordered a drink which found out after the bill came was actually 2 different drinks not the way he described it to us. To be honest the double shot expresso with the Licor 43 in it which is the drink I had after dinner I could not notice anything but the expresso not worth $16 for a 2oz drink. Over all I am sure I will go back at some point and knowing how things work will make the next...
