I have never shopped there and never will, but my wife and I live right next to the shop in the lofts. The older lady had once before sternly told my wife not to park (public parking) in front of her store before. But recently one morning while on our way to visit her sister in the ICU (she's been in a coma like state and its been traumatic for us all) the lady came out angry and yelled at my already emotional and traumatized wife about her not parking in front of her store. This was only the second time she had parked there. Although my wife tearfully tried to apologize and explain that we had just parked there over night after coming home from the ICU at Children's medical in Dallas at 12:30am, the old lady still lashed out at her and heartlessly said it wasn't any of her concern. That all her concern is, is for the parking in front of her store. Again this is public parking mind you. My wife then had some choice words to say out of emotional distress and the verbal anise she received for no reason. She came back up the hall where I was coming down to meet her to head to the hospital. She was heart broken, in tears and angry that someone could be so angry and evil and heartless. I went in to Maxwells and tried to confront and question her and she was the rudest person I've ever met and treated me like dirt. She said I MYSELF was rude.... She was livid and cold and heartless. She demanded we move the car and told me to get out of her shop numerous times and threatened to call the cops on our public parking and call our land lady next door. I kept asking her if she had a heart or any pity for the situation. I explained the fragility and severity of our emotional and medical state and she threw it back in our faces. This selfish, hateful, and despicable lady does not deserve to run a shop or even be in business anywhere around customers. I would vouch that she be closed down for threatening me and my wife and verbally abusing both of us FOR A PUBLIC PARKING SPOT OUTSIDE OF OUR LOFTS. Do not under any circumstances give them your business. You can read their other awful reviews on how they've treated actual customers of theirs. Thanks goodness I've never done business with them. The elderly husband was more sympathic and gave me some candy from their dish. But that's the only sympathy or smidgen of kindness I received. I wish there was a 0...
Read moreI went to this store for the first time recently and the owner, Mr. Maxwell himself was the one who helped me. He didn’t jump to say hi when I came in but he was engaging the customers before me in conversation. I waited patiently. When he did get to me, he was very friendly and helpful. He replaced my watch battery, which is usually only $10! Which is a deal (I’ve paid more than double that elsewhere). And then he polished my wedding ring back to looking brand new! And it’s nearly 20 years old. He was so kind to not charge me for either service which I was astonished by in today’s economy!! When I pressed him on payment, his response was everyone needs a lil kindness every now and then in today’s world. As payment I said I’d come on here & write a positive review. This is me following through with my word :) For any future jewelry needs I’ll...
Read moreI was visiting my sons in college there and I bought a ring at the store , I was told by the owner and the jeweler that it was a genuine tanzanite ring, it was a used piece , but they assured me that it was real and that they only were trying to recoup the investment they had in it... i brought the ring home and had it looked at by my jeweler here who informed me it was not a real tanzanite. I contacted MAXWELLS and they informed me they had already used the money and could not return my money or allow me to return the ring... further they stated that they had no way of knowing if it was real or not?? seriously? maybe alot of their other stuff isn't reall either.... because they have no way of knowing ..... NOT..... they were very rude and...
