It took me so long to find a pair of boots I really liked at Jackson's and when I did I was told they fit perfectly by sale staff and that they are hard to come by. They were a little snug but I was advised that the leather would stretch and fit to my foot "like a second skin." Over a month later I've worn my boots twice because they're so uncomfortable, every time I wear other shoes they rub where the boots fit too tight and my feet constantly ache. I called to see if I could exchange them for a different pair and was told if they were worn outside they can't be refunded or exchanged... I bought shoes at the Wolverine store in Rockford and after a month realized I needed a size down after wearing them REGULARLY outside- they took them back and exchanged them without a single issue. On top of all of this, I pulled the boot up online to show a girlfriend and they are $200 everywhere else but I paid $300! Every other well known boot store had my "brand new" boots for $199... I'm so frustrated, I do like shopping locally, but to me this store isn't worth the hassle. I would give less than a star if I could, I love the way my boots look but they are not the right size (though I got plenty of encouragement to buy them by sales staff), customer service was terrible when I had an issue and the price was inflated by 1/3. Insane. I will never be shopping there again, but the Wolverine store in Rockford? My family owns multiple pairs of shoes from that store and we're fully satisfied. If only they carried more...

Owner said he went through my other reviews and saw me in a mask. I had it on for like 2 seconds to pose for that photo because I was going to be so close to the instructor. By thanks for trying to minimize the legitimacy of my review. It sounds like the owner has policies in place to accommodate those who cannot wear a mask for medical reasons yet none of his employees know about these policies. I asked three different people in the store if it was company policy to refuse my business if I could not wear a mask for medical reasons. Two out of the three said yes and one young lady did not know. Never once did they offer curbside or a shield. I probably could’ve been fine with a shield. As you see in this review and others relating to this topic his response is always to pass the buck back to the customer who left the review while claiming that he is accommodating to folks that can’t wear a mask. That is very dishonest. I will never do business with the store. Buyer beware! I bought some nice boots online so I’m good to go.
Original review:
They are more strict about masks than the liberal governor Whitmer is. I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask and they refused my business even after I explained to them that my condition prevented me from wearing one. I again asked the question, “So you are going to refuse my business, even though I cannot medically wear a mask?” They stated “Yes. Store policy!” I drove 45 minutes to be discriminated against. I will never buy boots...
Read moreI really like this place. I'm from a small town in Indiana, and the closest place to get this stuff is about an hour away and super expensive (like $400 for a pair of freaking Justin's!!!!). We were out driving around and stumbled upon this place. I got a bra, 2 pairs of boots for my oldest, a pair for my youngest, a wrangler jacket for my husband, a shirt for him, and a huge sticker for my back window and paid a little over $300. They are so nice here! The first thing I grabbed was the bra, and within second this cute older lady came up and asked if I wanted her to put it up at the founder so I didn't have to carry it around in case I wasn't comfortable carrying a DD around. As our arms got full, she was right back asking if she could take the stuff so we did t have to carry it. This place is huge! Toy section, women's section, juniors sections, toddler section, men's section, jewelry section, hat section, boot section, riding section, rodeo section, EVERYTHING YOU COULD THINK OF! Underwear to slippers to belts to earrings to top of the line hats to even bibs for baby. Plus coupons for your birthday, and awesome discount emails. We go here everyone we are...
