I have been with Bollywood funk for the past five years, and it had been the most uplifting /enriching and transformative journey in several years of my dancing experience. The instructors are highly skilled in a variety of dance forms, each bringing in their own creativity and unique style. The studio environment is very warm and welcoming, and the classes are always lit.All levels of dancers are welcome.. I had the chance to be a part of their workshop during the pandemic. Having danced before, I was expecting an inclusive fun atmosphere. However the class didn’t care much about the form and postures. Moreover I am lefty so the I was trying to catch up with the super fast pace of this one day workshop. The instructor actually made me go to the last row to avoid covering me in the Instagram video she was so obsessed to make. I’m sorry I’m not paying a penny for being humiliated like that. I have learned bharatnatyam and I’ve danced in Shiamak’s academy so I wasn’t a novice. Even if there were beginners they don’t deserve to be treated this...

Bollywood funk classes are fun, fresh and empowering! Shoutout to Vaibhav for creating a space in Bollystreet that truly encourages pushing past one's comfort zones and losing yourself in dance. His dedication and passion to the craft is pretty amazing - but his ability to understand his students' needs and design choreos that truly accentuate his students' strengths is even more phenomenal. Dinesh's energy radiates in every class he instructs and his emphasis on the finer details/accents/style in his choreos can make anyone inevitably a better dancer. I've learned so much from that dynamic duo and I have a long way ahead....
