I purchased gold hoop earring online and chose this store for pick-up. I approached two jewelry counters downstairs and was never recognized, not even eye contact to recognize my presence or an associate simply pause and say, "Ma'am, I will be right with you. It may be a five or ten minutes." It seemed as if I was intentionally ignored. While standing at one counter, I decided to place key on counter and take out debit card to save time. I left that counter for another, only to be instructed to go upstairs to "INC". INC sent me back downstairs. I inquired about my keys and nobody knew about them being left on a jewelry counter, however, I spotted them in the jewelry area in salesperson area. I still was not greeted or recognized---I just stood there hoping someone would recognize me so I could get my car keys. After (three) attempts to collect my order, I found the right counter only to be ignored by a tall gentleman for over 15 minutes even taking a customer who arrived after me. I went to another customer service representative and she didn't allow me to view earrings for satisfaction prior to cashing out. I opened the box and asked her to wipe with a gold cloth. She responded, "They are new." I asked her to wipe them anyway. As I got ready to leave with my earrings, the gentleman who ignored me had the audacity to address me. Calls to the store the next day---excuses, excuses, excuses, manager is busy, we have a high rating----therefore your complaint is unusual-----I AM AN AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE WHO WAS INTENTIONALLY IGNORED BY THREE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES. NO...
Read moreI would rate less than one star if able to . I went to the Wesley Chapel Macy's at 0800 on Wednesday 11 December to get a "Door Buster". I was told by the sales clerk that there was a "misprint" and they did not have the item in their store. I immediately asked to speak to a manager. The self identified "Sales Manager-Silka Colon"- arrived several minutes later. She said there was a "misprint and there a retraction." When asked when and where, she handed me a piece of paper, internal Macy's email, dated and timed that early morning. She said it was on the Macy's website. Like we check that to see if what they publish and print in the paper is true? She said they did not have any in the Wesley Chapel store. She checked the computer and said they had some in Maryland and they could send one, but it would be the regular price. Really??!! Seriously??!! I asked to be given the same deal on any in store item, or a coupon or some compensation for the false advertising. She got teary and said she could do nothing. I asked her to post on the doors so the clerks who are working for minimum wage, much less than what she makes, do not take the brunt of the consumer disappointment. I told her I was, and have, reported her and Macy's for fraudulent advertising to the BBB. Very disappointing customer service to a shopper who shops regularly and spends many $$ at Macy's. They, or at least Ms. Colon, is pompous and condescending to the general public. Hope she can keep a...
Read moreFor someone who has been shopping at this Macy's for years, very disappointed with the level of disrespect we experienced from a sales associate. Unfortunately I did not get her name from her name tag, but while standing in customer Service, my fiance was escorted by an employee to a different line and told to stand there instead. Confused since he was almost up to the register in the other line after waiting quite a while and now he was even further back with more individuals infront of him, he asked the sales associate why he was moved to this line after waiting and almost being to the front and I hear her extremely rudely respond "You didn't have to listen, its a free country, you could have stayed, do whatever you want" Where this unnecessary attitude and disgusting response came from for a simple question is just terrible customer service. If that is the attitude you have with customers then you do not deserve a job there. When I turned to find her, she rushed away and we did not see her return as we walked back to the the original line we were in to complete the exchange. Because she never came back, I was not able to get her name, but if this is the type of attitude we have to deal with while trying to just shop in a store, then I have no intent on returning. It is employees like this that will ruin a company's brand and have them lose very...
