I am blessed to live within walking distance of what I deem to be one of the finest dining establishments in New Tampa, a title Dolce Crepes and Gelato Cafe easily takes, in my opinion. The moment I first visited this comfortable, colorful and VERY clean restaurant, I felt welcomed by Tarek (the owner), a very warm and likeable person, who brings more than just culinary knowledge from his experiences around the world. He literally makes you feel like you are on a mini European vacation, offering the finest Paninis, crepes, soups and dessert fare you could ever get, all made with painstaking, loving skill by a seasoned artisan who truly cares about his creations. To watch him pour and tenderly bring a freshly made crepe to life is an experience in itself, and you will not believe his attention to detail and determination for absolute perfection. If you are in a hurry, head over to McDonald's, because you will simply miss too much. But if you truly want to take a few extra moments to treat yourself to the VERY best this area has to offer, you absolutely MUST give this wonderful and surprising little place a try. Be forewarned though, you will have a new (and wonderful!!!) addiction, and there is frankly no...
Read moreHave come here for years. Always ordered the same thing. They changed the brand of meat to a cheaper version and did not mention it when we ordered and still charging the same price for a panini of lesser quality. Hopefully this was a temporary thing.
Edit in Response to Owner's Reply:
I actually know for a fact that the day we went in, the Turkey was different than the usual one. When my fiancee and I checked our food before leaving the mall, we noticed it was a completely different color (almost like a ham) and had a "smoked" smell to it, rather than the lighter Turkey that was normally served. We immediately went back in to the restaurant to ask about it, because we honestly thought it was the wrong meat.
However, the employee there insisted it was Turkey and pulled out a plastic, prepackaged, presliced deli meat (such as one you can buy off the shelf in Publix or Walmart), and said it was Turkey but not the same as normal.
Our main disappointment with it, as I said in my original review, was that there was no warning or mention of this when we ordered it, and were only told afterwards. It did not taste even remotely as good as it...
Read moreThis morning I went into 365 and asked for a hazelnut iced latte. The woman at the register checked me out and made the coffee. When I got it, there was very little ice so I asked if I could get more ice. She pointed me to the soda machine to get more ice myself. Mind you I was the only customer in the cafe, so I’m not sure why she couldn’t have just added ice, but I went and added ice from the soda machine.
I took a sip of my drink and it had a terrible taste, like the milk was spoiled. I told the lady and another man with a clipboard standing at the register I don’t like my drink and I’d like it re-made or even switched to something else. They told me they can’t do that and I’d have to pay for another drink. The coffee itself cost me $7 to begin with. I told them I don’t understand why I’d need to pay for them to swap a drink that doesn’t taste right. They said I can’t just get a new one without paying. I didn’t want a new drink, I just wanted mine switched out to one that I could drink.
Needless to say, I didn’t end up drinking my coffee and I won’t...
