Absolutely disgusting delivery services. Might as well hire two men and a truck to come pick up your appliances. We ordered a fridge, which was in stock at the store. An oven, and a washer, which had to come from the warehouse. The in-house delivery driver called, before he had even left the store to deliver the fridge, and presumptively decided he couldnât make it down to our rural house. (In a city mostly made up of dirt roads), then when asked if he could try, he only made it to the paved road before asking I could meet him. With what? A backpack? A sled and my dogs? Maybe the local coyote pack could come together to âMUSHâ my fridge down my road. When going to pick up my fridge at the store the customer services were very kind, and they very much made up for the headache that this delivery was. Within this debacle of running circles on the phone, being passed from employee to employee, passed from being on hold, and âIâll call you backâs That never came back. A team member told me that for our second half our delivery, to avoid another issue the manager can plan to have the delivery (if not able to be completed) to go back to the store, and I can pick it up from there. The third party service also presumptively decided that they cannot make it back to our house because if they end up in a ditch they have to pay for towing themselves. What billion dollar company would ever have those circumstances for their employees?? Its cruel to the employees, and itâs incentivizing their employees to not deliver! So after the phone call where I insisted that our road is a real road and not a two track, they said they would try it. I called the Home Depot, west branch store to double check our decided plan where the third party drivers can drop off the appliances so I can pick them up myself, once again. Of course, the same story is repeated. I am met with endless passing of the phone, managers with an attitude, employees with sorrow, and no solutions. The oven and washer have to be sent back to the warehouse before reshipped to the store, where I can then finally pick up my oven and washer. This is an absolute headache of a purchase. I would rather purchase appliances from any other company before Home Depot again. Unfortunately we need a dryer to match our washer, which we were going to wait on for a little bit. So when itâs time for that appliance I can only hope the local coyotes are obediently ready. (Special mentions of kind employees that deserve a raise are Dave in appliances, a tall manager Dave, Cole in appliances, and Faith in customer services) please I urge you Home Depot, stop offering delivery services in the winter if you cannot complete them!! I couldâve been able to keep my food cold sooner, cook meals at home, and wash my clothes in normal amount of time if I just picked them up...
Read moreI am a Home Depot customer and card holder for more than 10 years. I recently started a remodel project in my livingroom. I ordered carpet and Nike grind padding. I was unable to have the installation done by Home Depot as I was under a time restraint. We hired a gentleman to install our carpet which came in after 3 days of being ordered. We were excited to be making quick progress and ordered our sectional furniture set. The carpet installer that we hired laid the padding only to find we were short! My husband ran to a local lumber yard and bought extra padding. Unfortunately the carpet was short too. We spoke to 2 people at the West Branch location that offered to install the carpet for free but assured us it would be 2 weeks before a scheduled installer could come. The gentleman and lady my husband and myself spoke with were not very understanding and to seem to want to place the ordering mistake on us and almost made me feel as we were out of luck and had no solutions. We were very frustrated and seemed to be getting nowhere. We decided to handle the install set up ourselves with our carpet intaller in hopes that we could get it installed before the furniture, that we delayed twice would be delivered. The Art Van company had our furniture out for delivery today. The padding that was installed is now damaged due to the children and pets living in our home. New padding was not included in the reorder by home depot, Art Van was not able to unbox, set up and dispose of packaging which includes 8 huge boxes and packing material and this is all my burden to bear. After explaining my dilemma to a lady at the West Branch Michigan location she asked me " What would you like us to do ?" I would like to ask what am I supposed to do? I have thousands of dollars wrapped in a project that I planned and should have gone accordingly had the carpet I ordered been submitted as I ordered it. I am now looking at a livingroom with damaged padding and boxed up furniture and no idea how to make it all come together. Thank you for...
Read moreVisited this location as we donât have one near our home, bought a dishwasher and we were not able to get someone to install both electrical and plumbing for more than 6 months. Once we had someone come and install they were unable to complete the install because the GE Dishwasher they sold us did not have power for whatever reason. When I talked to them about making a return of some kind because we were sold a faulty product, they said that their return policy does not allow for that and our only option was to contact the manufacturer and our window for return was 48 hours. We live 350 miles from this Home Depot location. They made absolutely no effort to do anything to resolve it and said âonce you purchase then itâs as isâ⌠and I even talked to corporate offices and they said itâs up to the stores discretion to accept returns including faulty products. So I guess Iâm just taking a $500 loss thanks to Home Depot. So basically they donât care if you buy something that doesnât work and theyâll just take your money. Itâs a disgusting way to do business I would tell anyone to AVOID shopping at this or any other Home Depot location at all cost. I would rate lower than 1 star but it wasnât an option. Worst customer service I have...
