Discovery Clothing — Local services in West Chicago Township

This is usually my go to store for small accessories, but today I was kind of irritated with the service provider in the store for one. I literally hate when I go into an establishments and people look you in your face and not say anything, but then proceed to follow you as if you’re going to take something. A small Latina girl with long black hair Did this to me today as I was walking into the store, She looked at me in my face and looked away while there was another African-American female, folding clothes to the left of me who decided to speak and welcomed me into the store . When I went to the register to check out, there was three people there, but nobody could help me out until I decided to look at them awkwardly because they all were literally on their phones talking about ordering a Uber package is instead of doing what they’re supposed to be doing I had already put the shoes on my feet and handed in the box to scan the same small Latin girl Decided to make me take them off my feet just so she can apparently scan something that’s already on the box to be scanned And said it was for the purpose of the cameras, but what I don’t understand is you have to have me take the shoes off to scan the shoes when I know you can just scan the box because you’re worried about the camera but you’re not worried about the camera watching you not attend to customers and be on your phone with your friends while at work? All in all the situation is very petty, but I understand petty behavior when it’s being done...

I bought a few outfits and most of the items were extremely ill-fitting, expensive, and of horrible quality. One black dress as soon as I placed it on picked up so much lint it was ridiculous. The second dress was cheap material and was falling off. The skirt I got was a size Medium yet it showed my entire bottom and the belt it came with was so small it was not a good fit. The red shirt had no stretch to it. I even bought a sticky bra that was a final sale that did not even work, it wouldn't even stick to my skin for a second yet the price was 16.99. On top of buying the items, I felt that while I was shopping the workers kept following me and were not helpful and kept mean mugging. I decided to return the items (it hasn't even been a week) and the original cashier was there. However, it felt as if the cashier was upset I was returning the items. She quickly got an attitude with me because one of the dresses was missing a tag, which I had not noticed because I had checked previously and they all had them. I had my original receipt and it was barely four days from the original purchase date. You guys don't provide changing rooms and then get upset when people return items and make it seem like the customer is being...

I just went in to discovery to get a refund on items I didn’t end up using to a party. As soon as I went through the door I was greeted by a friendly employee and she saw my discovery bag and asked what I needed, super nice, she led me straight to the cashier for my refund. I had two employees in front of me who did not greet me or acknowledged I was present. So as soon as I handed her my items and receipt, Ale, the cashier did not say a beep to me. I wanted my money back in my debit card, I had my bright blue debit card in my hands very visible. I figured she would ask, “ how would you like your refund in cash or back in your debit card” , she said nothing. She gave it back in cash and again I wanted it back in my debit card. I asked her, “ didn’t I have the option of getting it in my card” . she said , “ yes that would have been easier”. No apologies what so ever. I’ve been to many discovery’s always friendly.
