As a retail store, one would figure that you should treat your customer right because they’re the reason for your store existence right?
Upon entering this location both workers were at the counter just chatting and didn’t think to greet the customer who just came into your store. After walking around a bit I had a good sense of the things that I wanted considering that there was a deal going on at the time thanks to the signs there. After 10 minutes I decided to slowly walk up to the counter where one of the workers, an middle aged Africa American man with glasses, asked me “Do you need something?” Great way to start a conversation. So I processed to ask if there was a certain new PS4 release game that he could find for me and instead of giving me a verbal answer he just pointed to a wall, where I just came from by the way. So I went back over there and didn’t see it from where it should have been because I would assume the inventory is filed in alphabetical order. I informed this worker that it’s not over there in which I gained the response “Should be”. At this point the other coworkers was in the back but I don’t know what else was so important that he couldn’t provide at least on average customer service. I immediately left and decided to try another day.
Few days later I returned to the establishment and one again no one greeted me. That’s not a problem; however, considering that there’s multiple promo posters and signs blocking the vision of the workers to see the door and there’s a bunch of highly wanted product located by the door (Plush, toys, board games) someone could easily snag these things due to the lack of attention these workers are giving. So I walk up to the counter where the same worker I mentioned before asked me did I need anything and I informed him that I would like to trade some things in. Gave him my things, phone number for my Pro membership, and when back to the wall to finally find the game properly filed right. Excellent, however it was listed as 59.99 instead of 49.99 on the website. I informed this worker however his attention was elsewhere where two female customers came in informing him that they wanted to buy the recent “2K” for a gift. This is where I seen top notch customer service from this guy: smiling, offered a handshake, even tried to add on more items and properly showed them where it would be located by walking away from the counter. After sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for my trade I watched as he tried to constantly ask the ladies to purchase the $99.99 edition of the game where they kept declining to the point where they didn’t want that copy anymore and decided to get the cheaper copy of NBA 2k17 instead. That’s where his attention did a whole 180 degrees where he basically didn’t care about those customers anymore. After finally noticing me he informed his coworkers to process my trade as credit as he seen that I had something in my hand which was a problem for multiple reasons
I was never informed of what was my cash or trade offer I had a question about a mismatched price of a product How are you just going to process something without the customers permission?
I decided to step in and informed both workers that I’m taking cash and left the establishment.
Now obviously I’m not looking for top of the line customer service however this was ridiculous. I’m not attempting to make an individual lose their job however something...

Read moreHad a wonderful first experience with an associate named A when I traded in Bloodborne for Shadow of Mordor using my foreign driving licence/employment card as an ID. Everything went smoothly.
Today, went back to support the store to trade in Shadow of Mordor for Borderlands handsome collection which was on sale but had the worst customer service by an associate named E. Told me in a very rude way that he needed my passport for trade ins. I told him I traded in with A the last time using my licence/employment card and it went ok. I even gave him the receipt showing complete details of the previous trade in with A. He even called up A to ask him how he processed my tradein previously without my passport. With the receipt in hand, A on the phone with him, he rudely whined and groaned and asked me for a second time, "Do you happen to have your passport with you??" I decided to vote with my wallet and walked off.
I've done trade ins with Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and even Gamestop, but this guy E really was incredibly rude and incompetent. All I wanted after a long day at work was to fire up Borderlands, but got a rude reception instead.
To be fair, my previous experience with A was excellent, the store is well decorated, clean, well stocked and has a great location. But today's experience was extremely horrendous I just felt compelled to write abt this guy E. With competition from online retailers like Amazon, one would expect Gamestop employees to up the ante on personal service. Disappointingly, E done messed that up. I don't expect to be treated like a king, really. Just get the job done, please.
Last time I'm going to this place. Will try my luck with other Gamestops, or just stick with...
