TLDR; got double charged, staff told me essentially “no manager so nothing we can do” and blank stares.
I come here fairly often for lunch, have always had positive experiences with both the service and food until today June 15th at around 2:30pm.
Ordered my normal order plus a drink and selected no receipt, then was given no drink cup and told I didn’t order a drink when I asked for the cup I had just paid for. The cashier that had just charged me didn’t check the system to see if I had been charged, just falsely claimed I hadn’t and rang me up for another drink.
I’m never one to normally make a stink at food or retail establishments, as a former employee of both. I did the math a couple times in my head while eating and came back up to the register, asking how much my order should have been and then confirming that I had been double charged. Upon explaining this to the same cashier, I got no apology and instead a “my manager isn’t here so we can’t refund you; we can offer you another entree instead?”
In response I let them know that this wasn’t an acceptable solution (I didn’t want the extra entree since I had plenty of food) and that I’d be over in the corner eating if they could figure out a way to remedy the situation. I sat there eating for 15 minutes before walking out, nobody made any effort at any customer service so I thought this and an email to management/corporate would send a slightly clearer message.
Management, if you read your Google reviews, expect a chargeback for a small drink around the time/date I listed above for this incident. It’s not about the $2, it’s about the abysmal...
Read moreWay to knock it out of the park, Panda Express team! The manager, David, was exceptionally helpful and offered me a generous sample of the new Spicy Bourbon Chicken. Finally, a dish that's spicy enough for my appetite! The chicken had an amazing kronch—seriously, how do you keep it so kronchy even when it's soaked in that delicious sauce? I like it spicy, so the crew hooked me up with some extra charred chilis. I only needed two hot sauce packets instead of my usual five today!
The restaurant is always clean, the service is quick, and the entire crew is friendly. On one occasion, I received orange chicken that wasn't burn the roof of my mouth off hot, and they promptly remade the entire dish for me. Talk about excellent customer service BOOYAH!
Today David noticed I was heading toward the restroom and informed me that I would need the code— BAM! it's like he could read my mind!
Panda Express as a chain has always exceeded my expectations, but this particular location stands out because of its fantastic crew. I'll definitely keep coming back.
P.S. I'm not a fan of the green peppers in the Super Greens; I hope that's not a permanent addition. However, I won't deduct any points for that today. Ya'll earned a little...
Read moreI have to admit that I've never been a fan of Panda express. The subpar Chinese fastfood loaded with sugar has never appealed to me. Walking in this place was noticeably busy even towards the end of the lunch rush. The place is surprisingly big for a strip mall location close to downtown. The staff is friendly and took a few seconds to walk me through ordering. I ended up getting the Beijing beef and orange chicken with chow mein with a side of crab rangoon. The Crab rangoon is terrible. Creamy with not much else going for it as far as flavor. I didn't detect even a hint of crab.
As far as the orange chicken and beijing beef...my god the sweetness is overwhelming. At least the Beijing Beef has a bit of spice to it. It's like eating kids' breakfast cereal in Chinese food form. Even the chow mein is a bit sweet. The delicate balance of spices you see from traditional Asian restaurants is just not here...the culture is removed and has been replaced with a corporate zombie meant to mock it instead. Even the meats are just "meat sponges." I still can't believe...
