Wow! Okay. This review is current, as today is Friday, August 20, 2021 and I visited this business on Thursday, August 19, 2021. I get my hair cut, when I'm in Columbia, at Old Fashioned Barber Shop on Leaphart Road, the same road that Cable & Connections is located on. Wednesday night, a four month old Yorkie decided that he wanted to chew into the data cable for my television and Internet services from AT&T. I tried to splice it to no avail. I went to WalMart and they either didn't sell or have that type of cable. As soon as I finished getting my hair cut Thursday, I stopped by Cable & Connections, with the damaged cable in hand. The gentleman there was very polite but said that the cable could not be repaired. He sold me a similar cable and even switched the wiring to mimic the damaged cable. He only charged me $3.00. That cable did not work. I called AT&T and they wanted $99.00 for a service call, even though I told them that I knew what the problem was. The earliest that they could come would have been Sunday, August 22, 2021. I went back to Cable & Connections, after calling and speaking to a representative who was working remotely, with both ends of the damaged cable. The gentleman who served me this time took the longer end of the cable and put a connector on it and charged me, maybe $4.00. He wasn't going to charge me that, but I insisted. Today the automotive shops that I work at scan tool power supply stopped working. The manufacture said it would take a week to get a new one so I called around to all the big stores and all I got was long holds then everyone told me they didnt know if they had what I needed I would need to bring it in to match it up. Well this didnt happen with Cable Connections they answered the phone and within 2 minutes they told me they had what I needed and to bring my tool in to test it. Sure enough I show up and I am immediately taking care of the set up the charger to my to and verify it charged plus the charger they sold me had and adapter for to plug into the cigarette lighter. Read morePurchased a 16 channel cctv power supply. It failed in 3 months. David was great over the phone. David set me up with a warranty replacement ticket over the phone and told me to call when I arrived in the morning to swap out the bad unit. When I arrived I was told that David was wrong about the swap out for a new replacement and that I had to buy a new unit before I could get a credit for the failed unit. I was also told that the credit may take over a week before I would see it on my credit card. I asked for my receipt back, left the failed unit and drove back home. I have successfully purchased a fan cooled unit from a competitor that is working great at this time. I cant believe the staff member at the door would be rude over a warranty issue but he was.
Needless to say I will not be back.
