I came here expecting a little lesser experience like a 3-4 average honestly... but the food came out quickly, the place had indoor seating & was decently clean more than I expected. the servers were nice & cordial & management +server customer service here was above& beyond what I expected a little.
I ordered a rte44 ocean water light ice & they brought me a medium with extra ice. so the speaker was cruddy & misheard each other but I bought & paid for medium according to receipt server showed & clarified to me. I calmly said it was fine I'll take it I was just confused cuz I thought I ordered rte44 but no biggie I can take medium since that's wat I paid for i appreciated fast & nice service. no argument. but the server came back like 3 min later with like a large ocean water & said I can have free no cost as a sorry for the mix-up. just the team service here gave me a sense the customer service is important than most fast food & they're assuming in my opinion 4-5 star & not a 3 star place. I rested a Route 44 tea, she read back a large tea, I tried to tell her that’s not what I ordered, but she turned the speaker off. When I pulled to the window she handed me a large tea, I told her I ordered a Route 44, and she looked at me and said “yes, but I read back a large”. I told her I did not order a large and she said well if we change it, it will have to be refunded and reorder and that could take 5-6 days. The entire time she had a smirk on her face. I normally love this Sonic and they usually have great customer service, but I would never go back here again. You need to do better at training your employees. When someone comes there to order, they want exactly what they ordered, not what a drive through attendant feel like ringing up. I should have made her refund it, but I didn’t have time and she knew it. Or better yet, good customer service would have been just to give me what I ordered, since she messed it up. Read moreI like Sonic, all but this one. The Sonic on old Charleston Highway is great. The one on Augusta Rd is nasty. I got a fried chicken sandwich and it was old, dry and the crust was separated from the chicken. The bacon was burnt. Took a bite out of it and tried to chew, opened the sandwich,, and it look like something you throw in the "old food bin." Took the sandwich back and got my daughter's money back (she was nice enough to bring home lunch,, I thought she got it from another Sonic) I did drink the milk shake and have been sick every since. This is not the first time that I've received old food from them. I stop going there years ago and now my daughter knows why I always drive pass this one and go to another Sonic.
