Planet Fitness — Local services in West Columbia

Been coming here for about 3 months. Very clean, staff is polite and helpful if you ask, equipment is in great condition. 3 stars is solely due to the fact that the 30 minute circuit area is not monitored nor enforced WHATSOEVER. I have even been in that area trying to complete the circuit, staff has come in to refill disinfectant etc, whilst others were there on their phones, and they simply do what they're obligated to and immediately leave to the next area. Not a word spoken to people sitting on their phones in the circuit area. My wife has asked if they could keep a closer eye on it, as we come 5 days a week, which they happily agreed to do. Still, every day there are multiple people hogging one machine for 10+ minutes at a time, people taking breaks on the machines while they play on their phones, teenagers hanging out etc. If they address this issue, 5 stars all day. There are plenty of machines in the lobby to do multiple sets of that's what you're there for. Folks like myself work late and get up early, so we crush out a 30 minute circuit. It would be amazing if we could do so without having to wait, skip a machine, or not...

Went into this gym around 9:30 pm EST Wednesday night. Upon enter the receptionist was greeting people. When I walked in I noticed republicans campaign card for the next election taped on the contour and one taped hanging off the contour. When I approached to say something another gym membership came up and she began patting the republican election card. I didn’t approach, I just made a mental note. The receptionist is a Caucasian decent with blonde hair. I didn’t know planet fitness has a stake in the upcoming election campaign and I didn’t know PF supports republicans. I may have to reach out to a few people to notify them that PF stands with the Republican Party. This should not have happen and needs to be addressed. I know if I felt uncomfortable there were others. I will be calling the gym ask well but wanted to document this. If PF DOESN’T ADDRESS THIS I WILL BE DROPPING MY...

I started a membership with my friend today and I’ve experienced the worst person I’ve ever come across when it comes to customer service, I started the membership today and ended within the same hour because I was treated very poorly and I would love to continue to go this gym, but not if he is there, I am unsure of his name but the time I was there was around 8pm and I arrived at 7:13 08/08/25. I strongly recommend letting him because not only was I treated very nasty he proceeded to the same to two other young men and kicked us all out and Threatened them and me to cancel our memberships. Also no me and the other party I mentioned were together totally different situation for them and I feel so sorry for them as well! Not to forget he claimed he was the supervisor and his colleagues...
