Let me start by saying that before today this was my go-to store if I needed anything tool/yard tool related. Now I went into the West Columbia, SC store and purchased a trailer tire for my husband, who was broken down about 30;miles away from where we live, so it was imperative that I get the right tire. The young lady at the front was amazing! As I was asking questions she admitted she did not know much about trailer tires and rang me up. As she was doing so another young lady brought the tire out. It looked small so I was looking for the "r14" to be written on it just like a car tire. Well it wasn't written on there so she called to the back and asked James if he could verify that this was infact the correct tire. Well I guess James did not think that it was important enough to get off his lazy butt and come put eyes on the tire, nope instead he tells her that if it is a five lug tire then it is most likely a 14. So I drive the 30 miles to where my husband is broken down at and it is not the correct tire. It is a 12 not a 14. So I find another harbor freight that is 12 miles from where he is broken down at. I take the tire in and ask if I can exchange it for a 14. The cashier looks at me and says that harbor freight does not even carry a 14 that it jumps from 13;to 15. So my blood is boiling now bc I feel like I should have been told that at the first harbor freight and that James is the biggest idiot on earth for pretending to know something that obviously he knows NOTHING about! I ended up getting my money back and going elsewhere to purchase the tire. I really did like and recommended this store to anyone who would listen, not now! Here is to hoping that this idiots wife, girlfriend, daughter, sister, or mother never had to encounter a problem where they need help and someone of his caliber is the only...
Read moreI went to the Augusta Rd location to exchange a 4 pack of drill bits, I waited in line for approximately 4mins before finally getting to the register I asked a counter person by the name of Pam can I exchange these drill bits I purchased a day ago for the correct size, she said yes, she told me to go get the correct size and come back to the counter. I returned to the counter with the correct size and asked me to get back in line and wait my turn to exchange the drill bit, I told her that I'm not going to wait in line again nor should I have to wait in line again she begain to speek to me in a condescending manner with a elevated vocal tone before an assistant manager stepped in to help take me next in line. As I looked to get the cashiers name off or her name tag she left from behind the counter and said out loud to me that "she doesn't care because she already put in her two weeks notice. I attempted to speak with the store manager named Jennifer that was oddly unavailable at the time but in the store. Sadly I'll not feel comfortable shopping at that Harbor Freight location anymore. However I will try to contact corporate for some kind of clarity on this...

When I returned the item I told them it should be known that there is a restocking fee. The store manager told me it’s listed on the receipt. That doesn’t help me if I don’t know before...
