Duluth Trading Company — Local services in West Fargo

We’re 18 months into COVID and the online pickup process at Duluth leaves a lot to be desired. For one, I’ve placed orders at 2 PM, much before their 5 pm deadline for same day pickup and of course, they did not get to my order until the next day. Now, fast forward to the pickup itself, each time I’ve entered the store, it has taken 10+ minutes every single time to get my order after speaking to someone to help me. Mind you, these of course are orders that are already prepared, all that has to be done is to grab the bag and hand it to me. At Duluth, they keep all orders in the back and the back room must be the absolute biggest back room of any store ever for it to take 10 minutes to retrieve my order every time. It’s not a staffing issue either, as there are always extra employees just walking around.

Also the quality of the products is inconsistent as well...

Absolutely wonderful shopping experience! I’m a ‘plus’ size and was so impressed by not only their selection of larger sizes but the way in which they were set in the store. Most stores segregate us “fat girls” to a corner somewhere making us feel negatively about ourselves and the way the world sees us, and negativity has never helped in getting healthier! At Duluth Trading, if you saw a beautiful and well crafted shirt, all the sizes they had available were right there on the same rack. Suddenly, I wasn’t the fat girl, I was just a woman buying a beautiful shirt, like anyone else. My particular health problems lead to unavoidable weight gain, having a store that doesn’t punish me socially for something beyond my control, is more than refreshing, it’s emotionally freeing. This is my first review of anything and normally I wouldn’t, but this was too bizarre. I went in to buy some Christmas gifts and because there was no one who was about to ask if I needed any help, I went up to the counter. I asked an older gentleman behind a plexiglass wall and wearing a mask is ‘such and such’ was on sale. During my question I turned and pointed at the product I was referring too. He hollered back, barking, “look at me when your talking to me so I can hear you!” Did this twice. I can’t hear you either as you’re wearing a mask and talking behind a shield. But I didn’t tell back. First time I have been reprimanded on how to shop. I thought I had it down...
