Barcode Bar & Grill — Restaurant in West Fargo

I begin this review with 1 star is way too much for this place. If I could I would give this place negative Stars. I heard this place was new and wanted to check it out but I would say I would never go back here ever again. The design of the place made it seem so loud and all the voices carried through the building to the point you couldn't even hear yourself think. Figured we order some drinks I asked the bartender what their special was since this was a new place, she had no idea I also asked what is their specialty item that they are known for also had no idea. Took about 20 minutes until I could finally order a drink and another 15 till I can order an appetizer. Finally finished our appetizer and waited another 25 minutes till we ordered our food. I asked about the Caesar salad size and she had no idea so I said I'll be safe and go with the Caesar salad wrap and pointed right to it on the menu. My girlfriend got the Philly cheesesteak. After about 38 minutes finally got our food and mine was the Caesar salad and hers was correct I had told her I ordered the wrap and even pointed to it she stared off into the distance not even caring. She went and got me the correct order took about 20 minutes for them to make a wrap. I had bites off my girlfriend's Philly cheesesteak and it was so dry it seemed like it had been heated up for the 6th time also the bun that was said it was a hoagie was definitely a great value hot dog bun cut in half. At this point I finally got my wrap and ate half of it and felt extremely nauseous I am 90% sure that everything that went in this wrap was from a can and completely flavorless. I enjoy food and will virtually eat anything but this is a first that I did not finish something. At this point our server quit coming around and I had to ask nicely for the other server that was working very hard getting to all of her tables to help me out. She kindly did and let the server know I needed my bill. My original server finally got it to me 15 minutes later and had the Caesar salad on the check even though that's not what I ordered plus my new wrap. The bill was $68 for three drinks and two small sandwiches which is downright outrageous for this quality of food, the dollar store I would say has better quality. Finally got everything resolved with the nice hard-working server since our server stopped caring at this point. I highly recommend everyone to stay away...

We had what I truly hope was a once off terrible experience at this business. From being seated to the time we almost forced the waiter to take our order it was 15 minutes. Add another 45 minutes & another member of the waitstaff brought out what appeared to be a burger disguised as a hockey puck on a bun. One bite & I was wishing that I had ordered a hockey puck. Thoroughly burned, it was inedible. My wife’s burger looked identical. I asked our waiter to come to the table & asked if he would eat these burgers. No reparations were made that evening. After a Tweet I posted a follower mentioned they knew the owner & would let him know of our experience. I am currently waiting on a call from the owner. ** Owner did contact me. He apologized & also sent a gift certificate for us to try the restaurant once again. I can say that our second experience was much better than the first. Staff was attentive & food was good. I appreciate the offer from them & will go to their restaurant again...

Edited Review: My wife and I tried this place again last night and we were extremely happy with the service. Our server was very knowledgeable on the beer questions I asked her and very helpful in choosing one of the many food items. We had the pretzel bites, jalapeno popper burger and steak sandwich. All the food came out hot and quickly. Our server was not to pushy and let me wife and I enjoy the food and drinks.

1-star: Came here on a Saturday night and it was busy. Our server passed us 5 times and took 10 mins before acknowledging our table. Let that pass because of the restaurant being busy. The table was ready to order but our server was off talking to other tables and took 20 mins to have him come over and see if we wanted food. By that point we paid the bill and walked out.
