So about a year ago we had a light bar installed on our son's Jeep by Bangharts. After completion, we brought it home to show the family and the wiring caught fire, filled the cabin with smoke and caused us all much concern. I reluctantly returned the Jeep to have this issue resolved which I suppose it was? This was the first issue . Over the past year since this installation, we have had the battery replaced 2 times and it just died again this Christmas morning requiring us to jump it once more. After doing some research regarding causes of battery drain and not finding anything relevant, I searched light bar installation. Much of the feedback surprisingly mentions these lights should only be wired and available when the vehicle is running and with the appropriate relay in place. Well, I called and talked to the admin first and then Frank about my concern and he treated me like a complete idiot, and was almost worse in person when I go to his shop. I do a lot of my own car and house maintenance, but am certainly no expert with auto electrical work. When I call a business that provides niche "expert" service I would expect a little compassion and courtesy but wow, Frank maybe you and your admin could use some customer relationship training and treat people with a little respect when they have concerns, especially when they give you a second chance. I did not appreciate your little demeaning responses to my concerns and I would warn any other consumers about this business. I did not have Bangharts service our kid's vehicle again today even though I had it on location. Due to additional safety concerns, trust and being treated in such an unprofessional way I did not feel comfortable that the job would be done correctly. I will be taking it to a reputable business that is more competent, tactful and pleasant to deal with. Just overall really disappointed, especially when I try to support local mom and pop shops in my area.
I will add in response to yours, that the tone and attitude that I exhibited was provoked by you and your immediate refusal to listen to my concerns and talk over me. I will leave it at that and you can claim whatever you please. Initially I provided a Quadratec set up approved for this bar light and you added the 2 other side lights to this same line, that's why it burned. So please respond with accurate info next time. And as for witnesses? Your wife who I asked to tell you that I did not trust you to do the work properly and asked for my vehicle back. Good luck with your quality control moving forward. Especially with all the illegal equipment that you sell people, something you clearly boasted about when I was there. Great business model Frank! And yes, I misspoke, I did mount the lights before I came, that part of the job was done correctly, I brought them to you to have them...

11/25/19 that next monday, Apon entering the business i noticed a long haired gentleman resembling the rock star TED NUGENT. Frank greated me rite away then i made a guess that the guy looking like a rockstar was Randy, yes sir he says,i introduced my self then on with our business we went. Now, im a hard core car enthuses who takes pride in how my ride looks and drives,so i may have been somewhat abrasives when i asked Randy to walk with me around my car, pointing out that there are no doordings, dents or scratches and that it was very important to me keeping it that way. Ok long story short, frank said two days ,possably just one.we agreed, very easy and after i had stressed my concerns with both Frank & Randy i went over to the enterprise car rental to rent a car, (will review). Tuesday i spoke with them, they were busy ok,Frank returned my call just befor closing time and had also sent a few pictures of the progress being made on my car.. i had talked with Frank letting him know my rental agreement was for two days and any longer would cost me EVEN more.,no problem he said "wendsday around noon then"? I was very satisfied with the work done and the system installed and above all the SOUND ,nice crisp and LOUD! WELL DONE BANGHART'S , FIVE...
Read moreIgnorance is bliss I guess. My husband had the head unit and speakers upgraded when the Jeep was new as he knew I loved my music. I had remote start installed at the same time. Remote start stopped working about 2-3 years ago, but it is what it is as it wasn't terribly expensive to begin with. I had an issue initially with speakers blowing, crackling and popping, as well just the overall volume being pretty low even with the new speakers, sub and amp.
Fast forward, my husband made the mistake of wanting to add on to my system, replace the sub, etc., What a daggone mess!!!!
Driver side tweeter was never connected, pigtailed connections in the sound bar, leaving the original plug just kind hanging out , reversed polarity on 2 speakers, live (cut) wires in the dash, crossover not attached to anything/stuck to the magnet on the back of the speaker, and....and a random taped off wire found under the passenger carpet that we still aren't sure where it goes, but my husband has a feeling it fight have something to do with my remote start no longer working.
So yea, was I happy before I knew all this? I mean, yes, I guess so. I thought it was a little crazy that I had to have it turned up to 33 out of 35 to have loud enough sound to be heard clearly all windows down at 55 mph, but it was always like that.
However, knowing now how much was paid for some seriously shoddy installation, next time I will buy the equipment myself and pay the neighbor kid...
