Let me start by saying we really like Boston Market. Unfortunately there are no more near our home, so when we head Exton way to shop, we often decide to come to this location. In the past, we've always had satisfactory visits. This review is based on our visit 8/27. Starting with the positive, the food was good as usual. If anything negative could be said about the food, the portions are a bit smaller than the past. Not greatly, but since the prices have increased (understandable w/the economy), it would have been nice if the portions had been a bit more generous. If that was the only issue, the review would be a 4.5. That was not the case. We arrived right around noon on a Saturday. I was shocked to find that we were the only customers. That being the case one would expect that the place would be clean and we could have our pick of seats. No. The actual food area, where the hot sides were kept looked fine. But, when we went to sit down, both booths were occupied with the belongings of the two employees that were there. We actually had to try to find a clean table among the other roughly 8-10 tables in the restaurant to sit at. The soda machine was filthy as well. As soon as we paid, one employee retreated to the back of the restaurant and the other one sat at one of the booths and got on her computer. No effort to clean anything in anticipation of more customers. I couldn't believe how disinterested they seemed to be. Then before leaving, a large puddle started appearing out into the dining area. My husband actually had to yell into the back of the restaurant to get the employees to come out (at some point the computer user had retreated to the back as well). We wanted to point out the water because we were afraid that any new customers might slip and fall. We suggested they put a cone or "wet floor" sign out, but they just stared blankly at us. All I can say is I hope someone better soon takes charge there and can get better help because that...

Read moreThis review is about their "Thanksgiving Day" special. We arrived, and apparently half the employees quit (according to whomever was running the show), so they were running about 2 hours behind schedule. When you setup a time to pick up your order, you expect the order to be ready roughly within that time frame. We had an order for noon, and at 1:15PM we left without food. Had to reach out to corporate for a refund. I understand staffing issues during COVID make this difficult, but at least try to communicate to the people waiting what is going on and have a plan to get them their food. While those that pre-ordered were left waiting, they were still taking orders for people walking in and fulfilling...
