My cat was severely ill... I explained this in my call and hadn't been eating... My problem was compounded as I had an issue where I had to report my credit card lost and did not have access to my account because of this I was limited to going in and seeing this particular vet as a friend of mine allowed me to use his account to authorize the payment. I did everything I could, at least I thought I did, but no matter what I just could not make it in exactly at the time I was supposed to be there. I had 20 different situations happening in a condensed period of time. I really understand that showing up late is serious but so is a life.. I was told by the receptionist that I would be able to still be seen but upon arrival I was handed a paper to go to the emergency veterinary center. She even went on to state that the doctor usually will stay as long as they weren't more than 15 minutes late. For some reason this time she just could not..... I could not go anywhere else at this point and as my own stupidity had it I waited for the next appointment that I scheduled for this morning, yet again I ended up being 5 minutes late this time.. I cannot say this with surety but my observation was that there was a conversation that went on before I even walked into the door. I approached the counter and the lady closest to me looked busy and did not respond to me walking in. I then approached the second receptionist who looked nervous... I started to speak to her and the previously mute receptionist not making any eye contact continued looking down and told me that because I was late 5 minutes into my 9:30 appointment I would not be able to be seen until after 11:30. The words by the pixie like receptionist were curt, pointed, and piercing. Today I had to start work at 10:30 and was squeezing every bit of what I had to do into this time frame. There was no way I could be there. I tried to see if there was anyone else I could get to bring him but I couldn't.. I blame myself for not realizing how serious the situation was... My beautiful Anubis died tonight... It was horrible and about that I wont say anymore.. I do not like this office. I was treated callously and with a level of scrutiny that I really don't understand. I want to make sure this post stays on this companies site... A passer by saw me outside after I was rejected at the appointment and told me that they are extremely overpriced and almost take advantage of their customers. She went on to state that her cat had gingivitis and she was quoted a non formalized amount of 1500.00.... I went into this knowing that I was going to pay over 500.00 for his illness or more... What i WOULDN'T DO to turn back time now. I blame me for everything but the way I was treated knowing the severity of his issues as they should have known by what was described should have played into this situation. I should have chosen aaa clinic but this was closer and my friend couldn't travel that far as he was doing me a favor, and a very large one.. Anubis was seen at cats unlimited before and the vet that never even saw him at the aaa clinic called me back concerned about him and was giving me advice......
Read moreThis place does not take your catâs overall health into consideration before pushing vaccines. I am very unhappy with them refusing to see my sick cat without the rabies vaccine. I had to go back and forth with the staff about not giving it to her because she was super unwell. This practice pushed me to do it and told me they would not see her if I refused the vaccine. They even told me that if I chose not to pay for it that theyâd send me to collections. They told me that my cat âshould beâ healthy enough, even though they didnât know what was wrong with her. So, because I needed medical treatment for my cat asap, I unfortunately had to give into allowing them to give her the rabies vaccine. Turns out, my cat actually ended up having cancer which is eligible for a medical exemption. Iâm tired of hearing that itâs required by state because that is completely untrue if your pet is not well enough to receive one. They literally gave it to her without actually knowing what was going on. And guess what? I have documentation from my new vet that my cat isnât well enough to receive vaccinations at this time and I didnât even ask for that or mention it!!! Itâs either that this place is a cash grab or they are sooo clouded by the âlawâ that critical thinking skills are not used when assessing a sick animal. They are lucky I donât consider a lawsuit.
Another thing, they recommended prescription food for my cat. I placed an order online because they didnât have the one that was recommended. I went back and forth with them for two days because they were not properly sending my catâs prescription to the online seller. I had to leave work to go physically pick up the prescription and what do you know? I sent it to the same email that I gave them and the online seller filled my prescription within minutes....
Read moreI have brought my cats here, my sister has brought her cat here and my best friend has as well. They are the most loving staff, always ready to offer help and has never once made me feel bad about starting with the less expensive options and then continuing from there if need be. My old man had to have almost all of his teeth removed and while there were less expensive places I could have taken him it wasn't really an option for me. I knew that he would be getting the best care at Cats Limited. If you think of your kitty as a family member rather than just a pet then this is the place the bring them. I had a rescue kitten that was much sicker than the rest of the litter, I had to bring him to an emergency place since it was very early in the morning and Cats Limited was not open, unfortunately after trying different things it was apparent that he would not be able to live a quality life, having been on many different medications at only four weeks old, we had to put him down, long story short not only did the caring staff at Cats Limited call to offer their condolences after being informed from the emergency vet they also sent out a card with hand written notes from each of the staff members. It's small, personal things like that that you will get when you take you kitty to Cats Limited. Forming a real relationship with your vet rather than just a doctor/patient one. I highly recommend them to anyone that loves their cat and truly wants the best...
