After Christmas I was returning some items at this Marshall location You would think that I stole something The cashier was over analyzing searching and looking for something wrong with the items that I was returning It was a broom that you put together it was a cat toy in a box and a pepper grinder First of all when you purchase from a Marshall home store you can't return it to a regular Marshalls Go figure And I had my receipt the ink was worn off not my fault I had it pulled it up in my wallet they were telling me oh we can't see anything oh I'm not going to be able to return it You can't read the receipt I told them not my problem That's your problem You guys should have better ink or receipt paper and then I was telling them that I had an issue with you guys and another location they told me I couldn't return these items at their store I had to come back here and return it because you guys are home store And then they cashier was talking to I believe probably a manager I know she was talking about me she couldn't even look at me I was staring her down I know I should have done that I was heated I was mad I like I went for one store to this store and you guys are giving me a problem I have my receipt I have the item what's the problem So guys if you do choose to shop at Marshall take a picture of your receipt right away and also send it to your email because this is ridiculous we shouldn't have to go through this I'm going to say I because everybody experiences different sometimes I believe they pick and choose who they want...
Read moreI am really unhappy with this store since it also became a HomeGoods store. I thought the HomeGoods was going to be downstairs in another storefront. Instead, they just got rid of 1/2 their clothes and devoted more floor space in the same small store to non-clothes items, mostly a lot of useless impulse items. This is no longer the one stop shop for items for the whole family it used to be. I also HATE that if you have a return, you have to wait in the same LONGGGG cattle call line as check out. Terrible service. There is always a line. Frequently I have had to walk out because of the massive check out line that is specifically designed to pad profit margins by forcing you to pass by an array of junk items. Hardly anything for kids, and markdowns aren't that great. Home tzotches can be purchased anywhere. Bring back more clothes! That's what we need here, or expand in another storefront! One also used to be able to buy quality sneakers for kids here, and sneakers women could wear to work out. Now they only have "fashion sneakers". Parking lot is also not that great, but dealable. Try to come at an off time for best experience. Not many...
Read moreI just walked into the store and I was so shocked, I had to record this review while in the store. Being in West Hartford, Connecticut one would think that the surroundings and atmosphere would be neat, organized, and clean. First, there were no carts to speak of – another lady and I had to scrounge around to find a cart – AND THEN find one that WORKED!! The one that I found had dried oranges at the bottom of the cart, which I had to remove. The entire place is a disarray, disorganized, and definitely needs a deep clean. I did do some shopping but I didn’t stay long because most of the time, I had to navigate through an obstacle course with junk all over the place. Went to check out at the door I came in and there was no one there. A manager said that I needed to go to the other end of the store to checkout and then go back to the door where I came in. It was a TOTAL CLUSTER!!! Big Lots and Walmart is better organized...
