YUMMY FOOD! 😋 GREAT VIBES! 🥂 How could you not enjoy yourself at a Mexican restaurant?!
We started with the queso fundido and boneless wings. Queso fundido was a bit cold, so the cheese wasn’t... cheesy? It was kind of strange because it’s served on a small skillet, so you would assume it would be hot and cheesy. It wasn’t. More so just a block of cheese we had to break up with a spoon. That was one of my concerns. My other concern was with our server. She already seemed a bit irritable when she approached us. So when we had questions about the menu, she made us feel as though we were inconveniencing her. Nonetheless, the other staff that checked on us were very sweet. And the boneless wings were AMAZING! They were sooooo crispy and the buffalo sauce is TO DIE FOR! I could have simply ordered the wings as my meal and I would’ve been happy. For our entrees, we ordered tacos a la carte because we wanted to try one of everything. They were very good. My favorites were the tacos al pastor and the chicken taco. I did feel like portions were a bit small considering the price, compared to other local mexican restaurants. But again the food and ambiance is great. Overall, my experience...
Read moreI am giving 2 stars because their customer service has really gone down. The management and staff were once great but have really gotten to where it seems they do not give a you-know-what if their customers are happy.
Several months ago, I ordered for delivery and learned they had cut their salsa bar due to Covid. Totally understandable and honestly, preferred. However, now, they are charging for extra salsa. So, not only is open salsa bar and the variety gone, but they charge for extra regular salsa to go with your meal.
Since I do really like their food, after several months ... I decided to give them another try. I called just before 3 ... and asked if I could still order from the lunch menu. I got a hard "no" on that... even though he had picked up the phone just before 3.
Having worked in the restaurant biz many years ago, I appreciate the shift from lunch to dinner. But have never seen a restaurant refuse to allow lunch as the clock struck the time.
So I decided to take my business elsewhere. I completely understand that restaurants are struggling, but they have gotten quite curt and this nickel and dime stuff is not helping retain...
Read moreAwesome selection of tequila and the tacos were very well done. This place seems on the surface to be quite similar to many other sit down Mexican restaurants like Acapulco's, Margaritas, etc. But it sets itself apart with small touches and higher quality food. The tortilla chips that are brought to your table are better seasoned than many other places, and the salsa has more flavor to it (although it was heavy on the cilantro, which is a hate it or love it thing, I personally enjoy it). The real good salsa is over at their salsa bar, the rojo salsa in particular was fantastic, just the right level of spice and addictive. As for the tacos the corn tortillas that they come on are perfectly cooked and the meat has some great seasoning. The staff was also very pleasant and attentive. If I had to nitpick the drinks were a bit on the pricy side normally but you can get around that depending on what day you go and/or getting the specials ($5 for a domestic light beer except on Thursdays for example, $6 for an imported one like Corona). Food prices were on point though. I'd highly recommend this place, it's definitely...
