If Hibachi had a standard, and is the 'expected experience' Koma kinda nails it. This place is great, and if it's your first ever time having hibachi, this place is awesome; if you want a more superb experience - check out Sakura (Glastonbury or South Windsor). Service: - The hibachi cooks are always fun, throwing veges at you or spraying sake in your mouth, you'll get your typical hibachi entertainment here! - The waitress we had was very accommodating and she seemed new; you could tell she was trying her best and was very attentive. Though she spilled a drink, it was completely understandable (it was extremely crowded at that specific time). - Waitress ran out to my car to make sure the tip I left was correct, that's crazy! (In a good way!) Food: - Food is pretty good, I was a bit upset with how little lobster tail I got. The steak could have been more rare for what I asked for, but all the food was quite comparable to Sakura, it's all done in front of you so what you see is literally what you get. - Hibachi includes rice of choice, meat, salad OR soup. Most Hibachi places I have been to offer salad and soup. - If you like noodles, YOU MUST add the noodles to the hibachi dinner ($3.95? extra); The noodles are almost a must have for any hibachi dinner - these are not your normal noodles trust me. - Use the YUM YUM sauce, it's almost liquid gold. - Quantity is in no despair, you will probably go home with leftovers. You can easily portion to 2 meals. - At about ~$35 for a hibachi dinner, it is a bit steeper than other hibachi dinners, especially with a combo dinner, but ~$17.50 a meal, that's not bad! Drinks: - I had the Samurai drink; and while I really don't like gin, it was actually really good. Imagine a 7-up or sprite! Other: - It may be quite loud for younger kids and especially toddlers/babies. - No birthday celebration :(

Recommendation: Lychee Martiny, Spider Roll. . Detailed review: Today my wife just finished her GMAT and the score makes her happy. She asks me to go out for dinner and willing to be a sponsor for the dinner. Now I am happy too 😃 So I decided to go to this restaurant. We passed this place many times but never have a chance to get in. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:30, and there were many available tables. We ordered a Lychee Martiny and a Maitai for drinks, a Fuji Mountain for Starter, Sashimi Entree, and a Spider Roll. - Lychee Martiny: it's good, sweet, I like it. - Maitai: it's okay. You should not expect an excellent or exceptional Maitai. - Fuji Mountain: they dressed it with Mayo but for me, I'd like less Mayo. So I suggest that you should share the dish. It's good, but if you eat it alone, you may feel a bit boring at the end. - Sashimi Entree: a few pieces of sashimi are very fishy (in a bad way) and appeared not to be skinned as well as they should be. Definitely not authentic as the restaurant is a Chinese place in disguise of a Japanese restaurant. The sashimi here is served with rice on the side and picked radish, and is plated on grated carrots instead of traditional white radish. Overall is good except for the yellowtail - Spider Roll: this is the best dish overall. It's crunchy and good. So for the food, I give it 4/5. Service: 5/5 (friendly, attentive) Atmosphere: 4/5. My leg room is a bit small. I sat at the booth, but I accidentally hit my wife's leg many times. When you get in the restaurant, you will see that they have the same theme with Tao Restaurant but not that luxury yet. . I think this restaurant is good for a regular dinner. If you have a special event, I'd recommend you to try out other places that I've reviewed. 🙂

Was very skeptical about ordering hibachi to go because I wasn't too certain if it was going to taste the same. The takeout was ok! Food was delicious, my only problem is I asked for "well done" steak on my orders and they both were "medium" and pink inside. I had to come home and cook the steak to my liking which wasn't the best. ( EDIT REVIEW) So decided to give them another chance and went the first weekend of August 2020 we called in for a takeout order .. my boyfriend and I specifically said "Can you make sure the meat is well done because in the past when we ordered it was bleeding" They assured us that the food would be well done. OF COURSE IT WAS NOT! Look below for added new pictures of what they served us. I've been sick for days now! No flavor, chicken pieces are chunky and hard! WHEN IS IT OK FOR CHICKEN TO BE PINK? They were better off just serving us the cow at this point!! This is ridiculous! We also asked for brown ginger sauce as we made our order through the phone the lady on the other end assured us that they had that then after we pay for our food we get told that "The ginger brown sauce is no longer being sold there because it's not a favorite" Why have us come all the way here and not tell us through the phone? Completely disappointing! Waste of food, waste of money and defiantly a waste of time! This was not just my plate this was my boyfriend's plate as well $50 worth! Still...
