Today, I had an experience that could have been a TikTok prank. While waiting in line to place my order this KAREN placed her order then proceeded to ask the cashier for change for ten dollar. When the cashier gave her change she tells him “oh, I want two fives”, which the cashier tells her he doesn’t have. Now, one would think she would step aside so the customer behind her could place their order. But, no she proceeded and, the young man indulged her. He actually left the register to go into the back to find this lady two 5.00 bills! Leaving those of us in line waiting to place our order . After I demand that one of the other clerks take my order, this grossly inconsiderate KAREN called me rude! When the young man returned to the register after about 5 minutes to accommodate this inconsiderate person. I requested to speak to the manager. It turned out that he was the manager! I was done!!! I will never return to this establishment again. Oh, and they screwed...
Read moreI have been to many 5 guys locations in the New England area and this was the slowest experience I have ever had. I was order number 79 and was by myself, ordering a cheeseburger and regular fries. I waited almost 20 minutes to have my number called, but I noticed many people getting takeout orders in the meantime. I also was very confused when they started calling out numbers ahead of mine when my order was very small compared to others. By the time I received my food they were also calling numbers in the 90's, serving people who ordered about 10 minutes after me at the same time. I recommend calling your order in if you are pressed for time, as they are very unorganized here but I have seen other reviews saying this doesn't help. Staff was very nice and the place was clean, but I've never been so confused by how they choose to serve...
Read moreThe lines cooks on the grill are wonderful. The food is tasty and well priced. The manager of the West Hartford store is horrible! Demeans his workers in front of customers; slovenly appearance; does not wear a mask when close to customers. RUDE to customers. I called a few weeks ago about a charge on my card. The manager insisted it was my banks error. He said he couldn’t do anything, only the home office could. I had to ask him if he wanted my name a telephone number in case there were questions. He said, “Oh, yeah.” A week went by, no word. I submitted an online complaint to the home office. A day later, someone else from the restaurant called and said it was my banks fault. Three days later, the home office refunded the money. I will no longer go this location. From now on, if I visit a Five Guys, it will be one of the...
