The Union Beer House — Restaurant in North Lebanon Township

As a beer store, The Union Beer House arguably ranks among the best in the area for diversity of selection. The proprietor is a friendly person who remembers his customers and does his best to accommodate their needs.

Prices are skewed slightly high, but there's not much wiggle room there due to Pennsylvania's strange beer and liquor laws. In most other states, people have a variety of options for buying six packs and single bottles of beer. Here, only "restaurants" are allowed to sell beer in small quantities, and this constraint drives prices up.

Union is one of the few businesses in the area that offers convenient small-quantity beer takeout, so if you're in the area and are interested in trying something new without committing to a) a 12-pack minimum or b) sit-down restaurant service, this place is worth a try. An inviting place with an amazing selection of beer. I wasn't hungry so I can't comment on food quality or selection. It's obvious this place has a great following, not only from other reviews and the customers that came in while I was enjoying my draft but the established feel. The stickers from all over certainly add to the well traveled vibe that exists from beer sourced globally. I live about an hour away and was just passing but I'm glad I stopped. Poor customer service. Was passing back and forth trying to find a beer. Guy didnt even bother to ask me what I was looking for. I was carrying my weapon OPEN CARRYING it and I have my concealed carry. He then proceeded to take a picture of my license plate wife called me and told me (we had a kid in the back of the car). Then proceeded to record me on his phone lying to me saying he wasnt but when he put his phone in his pocket and me asking him to stop recording me kept doing so.
