Greetings! My name is Troy and when I was searching for a designer and builder to manage a MAJOR remodeling project, I asked a friend who had completed a renovation. They were adamant that I check in with Linda and Mark Evans of L Evans Design Group. I did what my friend recommended and I am so glad that I did. I have worked with a number of home improvement contractors over the years but Linda and Mark provided a level of competency and service that is rare within the industry.

The experience started with a consultation and over the next several weeks we held multiple meetings to make sure the designs matched my vision for the project – both in terms of design and budget. The six-month project kicked off in January of 2020. Who knew that we would face a pandemic in a few short months? Even with such obstacles, the demolition, build, and finish of the project continued within the timeline and budget promised by Linda and Mark. I can’t express how cared for I felt during the process. Every morning I awoke to an email explaining what would unfold during the coming day. Each afternoon the workers cleaned up the work area and left the site secured. Our safety and comfort were of primary importance to Linda and Mark as we made our way through shifting recommendations related to COVID and the myriad of challenges that purchasing products and securing craftspeople during a pandemic required.

I do believe that nearly every day of the project Linda or Mark either stopped by personally or checked in with me to make sure work was getting done properly. On the rare occasion that something had not been done perfectly (and I mean perfectly), Linda made sure to get someone to the construction site to make a repair or rebuild. I am not convinced that anyone can assure a project of this scale and scope without a few bumps in the road as construction and design are complicated and require the coordination of many vendors and tradespeople. When things went wrong, they were corrected immediately. When issues arose – Linda addressed them. When plans need to change (often at my request and due to my poor planning) they were made without repercussions. Six months later, I moved back into an amazing kitchen build-out/remodel and build of a new laundry/bath.

I have been living in the space for the past six months and Linda and Mark have been by to make sure I am content. Each time with a smile and an eagerness to make sure I am happy with the work done. My new kitchen and laundry room are so impressive. I am thrilled to have chosen Linda and Mark as my designer/builder/contractor. I can’t imagine what this project would have been like with anyone else. They are now family friends and I can’t wait to start other remodeling projects with them in the future – if for no other reason than to stay connected with two people who have made my home so much nicer.

If you are considering a remodel or building project – I can’t recommend Linda and Mark of L. Evans Design Group any higher. I offer an unequivocal recommendation with absolutely no hesitation. Anyone with a serious remodeling project would be lucky to work with L Evans...

Linda was a delight to work with, and when we have the cash to remodel our other bathroom, she'll be our first call. For our whole floor remodel — kitchen, powder room, living/dining room, and master bedroom and bath — she was with us every step of the way. She's utterly spoiled us — we will never be able to work with another contractor again.

She's an exacting professional who demands a craftsman's level of workmanship from her subcontractors. She was on site to supervise almost daily, and is an absolute perfectionist, who wanted to make sure everything was done just right.

She has a great eye, and helped us with design decisions. She was excited to go with us when we wanted to go bold and unusual, like with our turquoise stained cabinets. It took seven rounds with the cabinet maker to get the stain color right, and she was relentless about making sure it was perfect.

She knows the area like the back of her hand, and knows where all the most interesting and best materials are. She took us on multiple trips to source materials, and made sure we got the best quality and the best economy.

She also really knows her stuff about ADA design. I use a wheelchair some days, and she made sure the counters were accessible for me sitting and standing. She designed the master bathroom to be fully wheelchair accessible, with a curbless shower and adjustable height hand shower. She made sure there were plenty of grab bars, and that every surface could bear weight if I needed to lean. She helped us find a stairlift, too, and supervised its installation.

There's no question in my mind that Linda is the absolute best in the business. She was worth every...

I have worked with L. Evans Design Group several times, and I am impressed with the knowledge and organization in the design phase, as well as the skills of the crafts people. Recently we re-did a shower in the master bathroom, replacing the tile and changing the drain. There was a lot of careful measuring to be done because of the angle of the glass. We chose large marble squares and a modern, channel drain. We chose to re-use our fixtures. It's beautiful!

Linda and her team were on top of this project every step of the way, from the initial shopping to gather ideas, to the careful calculating of the budget, the organization of the tradespeople who do the work, and the general tidiness of the job site and surrounding areas. She is detail oriented, very quality-minded, and extremely knowledgeable. We will definitely use L. Evans Design Group, Inc. again.
