The Falls View Tavern — Restaurant in Oregon City

We were really excited to try this place, we heard so many awesome things about the atmosphere and the service. We ordered drinks and the service was great, the drinks came on time and the ladies were super nice. We ordered appetizers, those came out fairly quickly, but when we ordered food, it took about 45 minutes before we were so hungry we wanted to check out another place, so we went in to pay for our drinks and appetizers when we were met with “Your food will literally be done in 2 minutes”. We were taken aback by the amount of attitude, and we just wanted to get some food. We went back outside to wait for our food, and some of the other patrons had let their dog loose, approached our dog, and proceeded to become aggressive (genuinely not the staffs fault, I understand they cannot police the patrons at all times). But we were very much ready do to leave after this incident so I went in to pay for our drinks and was met with the same dismissive attitude and “Your food is literally done”. I explained we were super hungry but also needed to leave because of the aggression of another dog outside, so the bartender talked to her manager and rang up our tab. She said “So what food did you eat?! Our appetizers?” At this point I was so uncomfortable with the tension I was just trying to be compliant and leave. She handed me my change without looking at me. I am a service worker myself, and I will give the benefit of the doubt when I receive service like this because I understand people have bad days, and service workers deal with some of the most atrocious behavior (especially bartenders) but I feel like this wasn’t a reasonable way of handling the situation. Oregon City's best kept secret. Often in the summer you will find bands playing on the outdoor stage.Often, the summers night atmosphere can be Majestic. The staff is amazing, drinks reasonably priced, and if you are hungry you must try the wings or the broasted chicken dinner (can feed two people). The diverse customer range will make anyone feel welcome. While you are there, take note of the talented local artist details. The back of the bar is cool as he!!. But before you leave, don't forget to play "adult" Where's Waldo on the sunset chalk panel above the bar. Fallsview is truly a favorite...

It’s a bit like hanging out in your neighbor’s back yard...but in a good way? Good band, good company, and beer. What else do you need?

OH! And I almost forgot (don’t know how), but they have the largest food I’ve ever seen outside of the Texas State Fair! Onion rings that were softball sized, potato wedges that I want to say were called Jo-Jos or something that were about 8”-10” long, and chicken wings that were bigger than most drumsticks.
