We had the wild mushroom Gorgonzola pizza and it tasted great! Good mushroom flavors with hint of rosemary. Then you get the taste of the blue cheese and garlic. Yum. The clams were a bit chewy and dry with the accompanying bread also a bit dry. The artichoke dip has a bunch of arugula just thrown on top which made it a little difficult to get the dip. Place is extremely smokey like the chef didn’t know how to get the fire going without a bunch of smoke bellowing out. I’ve been to plenty of wood fired joints and didn’t see a haze throughout. 5 for pizza, 3 for appetizers and smoke.

Been searching for a perfect pizza since we moved back to the Pacific NW, this is it! Service was on point, drink selection was good, and food was epic. I am as much vegetarian as I am Santa Claus but still opted for the Spicy Greek pizza. It went way beyond my expectations with creamy feta, delicious aund-dried tomatoes and the spicy oil drizzle made it perfect. Daughter got lasagna that she loved and we shared two amazing deserts too. We will definitely be back!

Pizza was very average and had a very crispy crust, which is not authentic Italian style - but as a European I’m assuming it’s an American interpretation of what Italian pizza should be 😐?!? Not terrible, just not that fabulous IMO. They did offers a great variety of more innovative topping than the average pizza place - so that was nice. Also offered garlic and chilli oil to customise your pizza, which is always nice!

Food consistently delicious. Staff inconsistently knowledgeable. WARNING TO CELIACS!

In all fairness, I should rate them a one star and never return. But I won't because I will.

I will return. The food is yummy. It's a cosy spot to meet up in Oregon City. BUT GLUTEN FREE IS OFTEN JUST NOT. I try to ask all the right questions but sometimes... in spite of good intentions on all sides, you end up paying someone to poison you.

Before I fall on the sword of mutual blame, I should add that staff should KNOW that beer is not gluten free. MALT, WHEAT, RYE. No no no. By extension, sausage cooked in beer is NOT gluten free.

I had the exquisite baked brie plate with apples and chicken sausage. I liked it so well that I returned with a friend and ordered the same thing. My new waitress said NOPE. Not celiac friendly. So no sausage. I got Kalamata olives instead.

And a wakeup call about why my food allergies, inflammation, gastric distress etc had been so wonky the week before. I knew it was probably a glutening but suspected cross-contamination from my (or someone else's) negligence ie a fork laid on the table rather than the plate, butter that had been poisoned by a double-dipping bread spreader, or even kisses from a cookie-contaminated grandchild.

I did not guess that I had eaten an entire batch of beer-soaked sausage. Okay. It was delicious. But anyone who has ever had the gluten-flu knows that is not good enough. And the long-term consequences are... too exhausting to list. Again.

My second trip server was very knowledgeable. Shoulda got her name. Maybe next time. And everyone was very friendly. Point in their favor.

BUT... we ate outside because the place really isn't all that accessible -tables too close and the one we might have sat at without blocking access was reserved. And my companion got very cold. Point against.

THEN... peach puree mimosa thingy. Yum. Plus.

Bathroom trip requires moving furniture and running the gauntlet of "excuse me"s. Minus.

FINALLY... flourless chocolate cake (+++), the only (-) gluten free dessert other than ice cream.

But the real cherry on top? It's always the staff. A friend we were waiting for missed her bus and showed up late. They let us wait at our sidewalk table long...

I have eaten at Mi Famiglia several times over the years. The service has always ranged from okay to sub-par, but I accepted that because the food is always great. But my experience last night has prompted me to to write this negative review because I am extremely offended by the lack of attention and poor attitude of our server. Everything started out normal, he took our drink and food order and delivered the first round of drinks. After that he only returned to the table once (I will get to that shortly). For the next 35 minutes he didn't make eye contact or check back in with us. After sitting there for so long our drinks were empty and my friend had to go to the bar and have our drinks refilled, which the server noticed and still never checked in. After that we observed other tables that were seated after us getting their food so I went up and checked the status of our order only to find out that our ticket had been lost and they hadn't even started on our dinner. At this point it was after 8pm. The manager was kind enough to comp all of our food which we really appreciated, and if it would have been left at that I wouldn't be writing this negative review. However, once the manager delivered our pizzas we were still waiting on my husbands calzone because it takes longer to cook. When it was finished cooking our original server brought it over to the table and without saying one word dropped the plate down on the table and walked away. It was literally the rudest most immature experience I have ever in my 34 years on this earth had with restaurant staff. I did inform the manager of his poor behavior and she said she would talk to him, but then went on to make excuses for his actions such as "we were not supposed to be his table" and "he had a lot going on." In my opinion there is no excuse to be that unapologetically rude to anyone. The server then went on to give us smug looks and roll his eyes at us on our way out the door. There are a lot of new dinning options in Oregon these days. So needless to say there are 5 people in the Gladstone area that will NEVER be returning to Mi Famiglia, which is unfortunate because as I said in the beginning their...

Some great..... some not. The great: Minestrone soup is amazing, Caesar salad was outstanding, steamer clams are really good. The not great: The focaccia bread with the clams was dry and uninspiring. The brie was terrible. It doesn't taste like traditional brie cheese. It comes in smaller wheels than usual and just doesn't taste like brie. It has a very thin skin and no flavor. The apples that come with it were old/brown, the sausage was refrigerator cold and had no taste (maybe would be good if it were warm?). Our server was terrible. She asked us if we wanted desert before our food arrived and left us without silverware two different times. Also, really long waits for drink refills and just general attention. For example, we never even got the usual run by asking if everything is alright after the food was delivered (or we would have certainly sent her back with the brie). She seemed to have a group of tables in the back of the restaurant and was also helping people at the bar so maybe this is more of a planning/management issue? When picking up our plates (including 95% of the brie) my wife mentioned how unhappy we were with the brie. When the check arrived and it was on there my wife questioned it and we were told, "unless there is something wrong with it I can't take it off the bill." Huh? We just told you it was terrible. I waited tables for 15+ years and honestly think the whole "take it off the bill" thing is very unfair for restaurants. If I had just gotten a little more questioning or compassion about what exactly was wrong I never would have bothered to write this review. You have to at least pretend to care. fwiw, my points of contact with all staff members other than our server were great and all of my previous visits here...
