Let’s begin; I’ve enjoyed Indian food from the Bay Area, Beaverton, Vancouver, Central California, and I’ve finally found one, yes. Here in Oregon City.its right up there by one of the “very good” to “excellent” I’ve had in the Bay Area. First, the atmosphere is clean, simple, but, yet inviting. We were greeted, and invited to sit in the dining area, which is plain with chairs and a tables. But, clean and organized. Second, the attendants were pleasant, hospitable, and attentive. Of course, offered drinks. They do have a plethora of choices. Now, the FOOD, you’re hit with the aroma of spices, kind smiles and greetings. Then you notice “Buffet Style” steam coming from the freshly prepared food, which awakens your senses, i started with the cucumber chutney, and mint, which I love to put over my samosas, (my liking) crunchy on the outside but filled with vegetables inside. Pop them in your mouth with the chutney. Omg! Perfect balance. Naan, bread, chicken masala, paneer, in butter and all the spices that bring out the perfect balance. Everything, was great! Tikka was a little dry but tasty. Okay, my favorite dessert:KHEER” although made with “Vermicelli” it was creamy, warm, and smooth. KHEER can be made with rose water, petals, pistachios, sliced almonds and cardamom. Yet, this was very good, and more like a comfort type food.. The ONLY thing that needs improvement , would be the location of the buffet, it’s kind of tight, when you get your food, turn around to head back to your table. Make it wider, and prepared for a longer line. The menu has many other food options. For the price it’s worth it and more! I’ll be heading back soon. Like tomorrow. Oh, I did have a nap after having lunch there, and snacked for...
Read moreHello. I would like to share my disgust about this so called resturant. Rest.exp.: Set outside, took long time for a waiter to come although we stepped in to indicate that we are here for dinner sitting outside...,- waited, waited..,and -actually went in and asked for a manue to review and select the food. All took 20 min.before the order was finally taken. However, the waitress had no tablet with her to take notes..,so she came back twice for us to reiterate our order. After all,the drinks came - in opposite to our order,it was with ice (specified that we want no ice drink), so we had to wait some more till no 8ce drink was provided. The food: burger with mush potatoes and hasel nut chicken green salad.
The burger dish was rather small portion, not hot enough..., mush potatoes- grayish in color, lumpy, no taste of butter added... The burger- very plain in taste. Hasel nut chicken breast- barely sparkled with nutty "powder", really below modest in quality. No utensils or napkins were provided. Ate so.e of the food for being very hungry. Stuffed the rest to the doggy bag to basically show the low quality food at home. When went it for using restroom before leaving- witnessed the cook working with salads and cutting other things with no gloves on,just swiping chopped stuff to the plates to be served. It was unfortunately too late obviously... - as we already "enjoyed" that hygiene "relaxed" meal. Understuffed place,under/below a reasonable expectation. Told people who tried to go in about our experience.... saying "run for your lives"... 18 May, 2024. Never...
Read moreMy gal pal & I had dinner here for the first time! Just a little before we realized it’s an Indian restaurant now. We both love Indian food so we were excited to try it out.
My friend got there before I did & they had sat her down fairly quick, had waters & menus. I was greeted by the owners & they are so incredibly kind & welcoming! We had some questions about the menu & if they had dosas. He told us that they didn’t have dosas on the menu but he can have the chef make it if we’d like! So accommodating! We declined the kind offer & he let us they might add it to the menu!
I ordered the veggie samosas with their tamarind chutney (OMG!) SO DELICIOUS! I love tamarind chutney & theirs is excellent. I also ordered the Tandoori chicken which came out sizzling hot & smelled so incredible. Chicken was moist, so flavorful with a side of some sort of curry. It went so well piled on top of the garlic naan—just excellent as well! My friend ordered the Chicken coconut Korma that I ended up absolutely loving! And the spinach pakora which was a delightful bite! The portions were big enough for 3-4 people so we took home leftovers. This morning, my pregnant butt ate Indian leftovers in bed for breakfast. I could not wait to dig into in the next day!
Highly recommend giving this place a try. If there might be something not to your liking, they seem like the type of owner that would want to do right by their customers. I...
