ALDI — Local services in West Milwaukee

This is an updated review covering a year of shopping at this Aldi. First, I love the company - they have amazing deals, good quality food, and straight-forward service, but this location has been the reason I stopped shopping at Aldi.

If you are going to shop at Aldi, I would avoid this location. Multiple times I come into the store and see frozen items just sitting out on top of the coolers, next to the freezers, etc. Very disappointed. Their meat should also be avoided. Twice now, I have gotten meat that after opening the container, the meat was completely grey between pieces.

Their service can be hit-or-miss. Sometimes you catch the great cashier, and they are very friendly. Other times, the employees are completely blocking the aisles when restocking to the point where you can't get through and they don't even apologize to people who are getting stuck.

The only pro about this location is that the store never feels too crowded and the people who shop are enjoyable. I have driven further to go to other locations though, and ultimately choosing other grocery options out of convenience and to ensure I have...

Updating my review. From one star. I have since been here about eight times.

Seems that they are working on keeping the products on the shelves. Although they are still dealing with a lot of empty shelves even with limited purchasing quantities.

The fresh produce here is lacking. Most of the time regular produce staples are sold out. A lot of the time there is wilted/bruised/poor quality on display.

The cleaning seems to be getting better over time but it still needs a lot of improvement.

Was excited for the new store but it did not meet expectations. Lots of items not available and staff is inadequate. Visited several times and each experience was subpar compared to other Aldi’s. Last straw was when I came to return some items with receipt and the manager on shift was rude, passive aggressive, and does not seem trained on Aldi’s twice as nice guarantee.
