I'm disappointed. So many people liked this place and my experience was sub-par.

I was grossed out by one of the cooks who had a band aid on his finger, and sat down to eat his rice out of a flour canister. He licked his fingers, jumped up, rang me up and then disappeared in the back. I hope I don't get sick. I hope he didn't prepare my food with slob on his fingertips. It was a small dingy little place. The food was nothing to write home about. I ordered vegetable fried rice and veggie egg rolls. The egg rolls were about the same size as the ones at Panda Express. Very small for a place like this. Usually you get huge egg rolls at authentic Chinese restaurants. I was disappointed.

The woks were obviously dirty. That grainy BLACK SOOT that comes out of overused iron skillets was present. I don't normally get upset about it because it's iron rich at least.

I found a SHRIMP SHELL and VEIN in my VEGETABLE FRIED RICE. I would be DEAD if I had a shell fish ALLERGY! I was really hungry so I kept eating the rice anyway. I was upset that I had to pick that stuff out of there. I watched carefully as I ate after that. The rice itself which is usually well seasoned at other restaurants lacked in flavor and tasted almost bland. I found myself drenching it in soy sauce which I never have to do. I can't believe this place got a four star. It's dingy, the kitchen is dark and dingy looking, the cook couldn't count my change (he actually asked me if that was correct change), and my stomach is gurgling now as I finish this post. What...

Do not pass up this gem! Delicious and fairly authentic Chinese food (I know, I know it's not pure Chinese 😋) but that being said it is yummy stuff! We just discovered this delight after growing tired of the places that fill your dish with too much undercooked broccoli and cabbage. So far the house special chow mein is the way it should be, lots of fine cut veggies and a decent amount of shrimp, pork and chicken. The best salt and pepper shrimp delightfully garnished with lemons, onions and peppers, nice touch. Won ton soup is full of fat scrumptious pillows of yumminess., so good. Hubby loves the szechuan shrimp. Hawaii five O is amazing! Can't wait to try some other dishes! Oh yeah, the egg rolls must be handmade I can taste the spices completely 😋 Try it you won't be disappointed! This is our new "go to" for great Chinese food...
