Edit: always a good time. Have tried basically everything on the menu at some point. This is our favorite breakfast stop. The seasonal items are so good. The bloody mary is to die for.
This place is busy! We waited about a half hour, and let me tell you, it was worth it! The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is to die for, and overall a great place to dine. I would never turn down the opportunity to go here.
We went for a mid morning breakfast. I ordered A LOT of food. Had the coffee to drink. It's their own brew, and it was good. I prefer an earthier brew, personally, but there's was still good. Next up was their secret recipe chili. Hearty, tinge of spice, topped with cheese and sour cream. I asked for the oven roast jalapenos to be on the side, and good thing, too! WHEW!
Then the main course! The boyfriend ordered the breakfast tacos with the soft corn tortillas and baby reds on the side. Excellent! I ordered the stuffed French toast AND the breakfast burger. The toast is filled with Bavarian cream and topped with fresh fruits and icing with whipped cream on the side. Simply wonderful. It was like a breakfast doughnut, practically. The breakfast burger comes ona pretzel bun, veggies on side, topped with an egg, cheddar jack and bacon. Was very delicious. The burger still maintains some pinkness so it is good perfectly and not a hockey puck. I was initially concerned that it might be over done when I ordered it, but I'm glad my fear was wrong. Very good. On the side I had the loaded baby reds with cheese and onions and peppers. it was very good, but I would save teh extra couple bucks and stick with the original reds next time.
All items perfect. I was so happy we chose there, it is now some place I want to take people visiting town every time.
Pictures from separate visit. Biscuits and gravy, lemon ricotta pancakes,...
Read moreSummary: I found this just recently and it's a bit of a quiet gem. For those who know about it it is definitely a great place. So far friendly staff and good quality food. There is a hint of Latino flavor with some of the dishes, Even the traditional country dishes. This is not a bad thing but if you're experienced in those differences you'll notice what I'm talking about. Staff: So far all the staff has been polite and great with conversation. They check on you regularly, at good intervals, and make sure that you have what you need. Some of them have even talked about helping me with my Spanish. Food: Great depth of flavor. You can tell that they spent time getting the taste to marinate in. I had a chili soup that was not overly hot and spicy but very rich, fabulous dish. The chicken fried steak was massive and I had to take some home but very delicious with the gravy. There are a lot of items on the menu that are more Southern and country that I definitely want to go back and try. Atmosphere: It definitely has the country atmosphere similar to a very simple cracker barrel style. In my mind though it doesn't detract as much from the personality.
If you haven't been and you're down for country food or some southern Latino dishes definitely have this place...
Read moreI’ve been coming here with family for years.
The food is ALWAYS amazing! I try different dishes and usually circle back around to my usuals throughout my visits. The coffee here is fabulous! Very good tasting coffee. I have never had a complaint regarding my food quality or the taste of it. I am not the biggest fan of their potatoes, I am more of a hash brown girl but my kids enjoy them. I love how they give you enough water for the table in a glass jar, so you don’t have to ask for water.
Parking is typically never easy, but I mean for this type of amazing food, you can’t expect the parking lot to be empty!
Service is always great, prompt, and friendly. This is definitely one of those spots I’d love to take my grandma to one day, because I know she’d love it.
We recently tried the banana + Nutella crepes and they were sooooo good! I just wish they were a little more saucier in the inside, maybe more Nutella. Or I could have put some syrup on top. Oh by the way, syrup comes out warm in a glass bottle! Love it.
My favorite dish here is the chicken and waffles. The chicken isn’t seasoned as well as I’d prefer but it has a perfect crunch to it! The chorizo gravy is definitely different but in an amazing way. I wish I could...
