Tonight I made my usual stop at Cermax in Walker's Point. I shop there weekly in the evening after work. I enjoy shopping at this store because of the cleanliness and organization as well as the fresh produce, meats, prepared foods, and easy access to parking and the expressway. Unfortunately I have experience (a few occasions) as well as some of my acquaintances very poor costumer service, misinformation, and lack of interest to serve. I made my regular stop this evening after work. I wanted to purchase some fresh meat from the butcher dept., the attendant that as taken my orders before was not on sight at that time, so I approach the deli personnel (young man and young lady) who were carrying on a conversation and asked if they knew where the butcher was,; the young man responded by saying that he (the butcher) had left early and the area was closed. I said, "why is it closed?, I shop before at 8pm and he is always here, I thought it closed at 9pm. I was told in a uncourteous tone of voice, "It' s close". I proceeded to finish my shopping. When I approached the cashier she asked me if I found what I needed, I asked her if the butcher was gone, she indicated that he works until 9pm and that he probably was in the back, I said that I knocked on the door that leads to the back but no one answered, she then paged the butcher, after she checked with other cashiers and got more information she made another call a few minutes later there was a response. I went back and found out that the butcher was on duty until 9pm and was working in the back cutting meat. He apologized and as in the past was pleasant and provided great service. My concern and disappointment was with the young employees working in the deli dept, and their lack common sense or was it the lack of training regarding their knowledge to provide good customer service, give the correct information, taking the time to find out, and using appropriate communication with the customer, going out of their way to assist and not feel that they were being bothered or the customer was disrupting them. I did thank and apologized the cashier who took the time to assist me so I could make the meat purchase. She was pleasant and apologetic. I mentioned that I have shopped at the Cermax on Miller Park and had no problems. My recommendation based on the issues with some of the young employes is to provide better customer service training. Not be on their cell phone during working hours as observed on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would like to share my experience today at cermak. I was at the store this morning at 9:43am I was leaving the store and I was walking to my car. I noticed that some big SUV vehicle silver Ford was blocking my car from view but I could tell that they were people out of their vehicle walking around my car so as I approach the car The people got in their vehicle and drove off really fast. I couldnāt get their drivers license. But I thought as a common courtesy, I would call the store to notify them about the situation I asked to speak to the store manager The person that answered the phone did not have the common courtesy to say hello thank you for calling cermak How can I help you? The way she answered, The phone? Was who is this? I was surprised because she sounded disturbed like I had inconvenienced her. I asked her she was a store manager. She said yes she was after I shared the What occurred in the parking lot she said what do you want me to do about it? And I said well I was just trying to make you aware of what happened then she once again very rude said but thereās nothing I can do about it. You should call the police., And I said to her I know that then I asked her again are you the store manager? She said no she was the cashier manager I said I would like to speak to the she didnāt like what I had to say she said she transferred me so I waited for 10 minutes. Nobody came to the phone. I call back asked to speak to the store. Manager waited another five minutes. No one came to the phone. I call back and once again, they transferred me then they cut me off not once but twice I call back and I got her on the phone The cashier manager I asked to speak to the store manager and I shared with her that they cut me off twice and she said all we can do is transfer a call and if he picks up fine and if he doesnāt well, thereās nothing I can do. Do you consider that Customer Service? No. my concern is for the safety of people that go to that store or including their employees the worst experience Iāve ever had at that store. So if you please go to the store, please be careful of your surroundings thank you and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wasnāt aware that self checkout didnāt accept ApplePay. With that being said I was informed by a skinny woman with short brunette hair, bangs and black glasses (about 5ā6 and skinny-thin. I think her name was Nanni/Nani) that Apple Pay is not acceptable surprisingly at self checkout and was informed that at the register ApplePay is applicable. With that being said she directed me to the registers. I decided to walk the opposite way to get to the register in order to potentially avoid bumping into oncoming customers at self checkout. She then rudely made it clear that I was going the wrong way and that I would need to cut through people at self checkout. She came off as if I could be a potentially trying to shoplift or something, when the truth is that I shop at Cermak Fresh Market on a REGULAR. Again, I just didnāt want to run into other customers who were checking out in the self checkout lane. From across the front of the store she kept giving me A-HOLE-SNOOTY-vibes and even had the audacity to inform the cashier of my situation, which had already been solved, and it was never that serious. Like, EVER. She did it in a very condescending manner and itās extremely unprofessional. I think that Iāll just shop at the other Cermak Fresh Market from now on. Iām hoping that the other location is way better. I wonāt be returning here. Iāve heard many poor reviews about this store. And it turns out that this...
