My family and I went tonight for my daughter’s birthday. While there someone else had a birthday and the workers sang their traditional birthday song and put the sombrero on the one who’s birthday it was. We ordered street tacos and were brought regular tacos- When I asked the waiter about it he said it was street tacos and I told him that street tacos don’t normally come on flour tortillas and do not come with lettuce and such. He argued and said they made changes but wasn’t sure why they put them on flour tortillas. I waved another waiter down thinking maybe he wasn’t understanding what I was asking and that waiter legit told me that he couldn’t help me. Then my husband waved that same waiter down and simply asked him for a menu and he never even brought it to him!! My husband then asked our waiter the price difference between the street tacos and regular tacos. He said 3 street tacos with the side of beans and rice was $14 and 3 regular tacos would be $12. Out ticket read $24 for a total of 6 tacos- He answered my original question outright that I asked in the beginning when I asked if they were street tacos. He lied and told me they were knowing they were not! Then to top it off we told him it was my daughters birthday and we asked for the churros for her dessert- when he brought them out to her he said they were too short staffed to sing her the happy birthday song 🤔 ABSOLUTELY CRAZY WHEN THEY WETE SINGING IT TO ANOTHER TABLE WHEN WE WALKED IN!!! I’m not one to complain about a restaurant because I use to work in one many years ago but this was an absolute disappointment!!!! We will not go back to El Sombrero in...
Read moreGroup of 5 staying at the La Quinta right down the road so decided since it was close we'd grab dinner. Big mistake!!! The service was crappy, the food was even worse than the service. We ordered a large guacamole that was $8.99. It had so much lime juice in it you couldn't even eat it, was very bitter and sour. We ordered 2 plates of nachos for everyone to share. I never realized you could screw nachos up so bad. First thing we noticed when they came out was how much lettuce was piled on them. We ordered nachos, not a salad!!! There was very little meat or cheese on them. If you like nachos with only lettuce, sour cream, jalapenos and some more of their bitter guacamole then this is the place for you to go. We mentioned to our waiter that the guacamole was so sour we couldn't even eat it and the nachos were very disappointing he just said oh well, sorry and walked away. We also ordered flour tortillas and butter but we never received them. The best thing there was the hot sauce and chips. Not once did a manager ever come to us and check to see how things were going. The restaurant was not busy so that was certainly not the issue. Most DEFINATELY WILL NEVER GO BACK OR EVEN SUGGEST THIS PLACE!!!!! Go elsewhere and...
Read moreI went in for lunch around 2:00pm on Tuesday since I called around to see if they had any specials for which that day they offered the Taco Tuesday special. The special consists of your choice of beef or chicken tacos $2 a piece. To put this into perspective, the average cost for one taco is about $3.25 and even that includes street tacos. I decided to opt out of the special because I wanted street tacos instead of the Taco Bell esque product they were offering. I ordered the Verde Enchiladas which weren't the best I ever had but also not the worst either. My food came with the tortilla stuffed with shredded chicken, covered in salsa verde, rice and beans. I also ordered lettuce which was a 0.99¢ upcharge. The total came out to be $16.20 which includes the drink. All in all, I may come back in the future if I decide to try something else and feel like typing out a review for readers like you. Oh yeah and P.S. the atmosphere was dead which is to be expected at 2pm with the plethora amount of choices around. The music choice made me feel like I was back home having a cooking out so...
