Timeframe is incorrect. This review was originally posted at least a year ago and I believe longer. The timeframe changed due to a spelling edit which is ridiculous. Okay so first, let's talk about atmosphere. Although there were only 2 in our party, we were seated at a 6 person booth which was okay because, who doesn't like lots of room, right? One issue was that we sunk deeply into our seats such that our shoulders were barely above table top height. I had to reach up for my drink and flatware. Next, there was condensation dripping from the ceiling A/C vents, hitting the wooden rail along the top of the seat and subsequently splashing into my hair. I stood up & signaled for our server at which point she raised her head in acknowledgement and when I told her about the problem she replied they were aware of it. When I told her it was splashing into me she told us we could move if we wanted to. We moved but she never got up from where she was seated to help us move everything to another table. Earning a great tip, huh? I ordered the New Chicken Pesto Crepes; 2 crepes filled with grilled chicken(over cooked, dried out, chewy), jack and cheddar cheeses, nut free pesto, and roasted cherry tomatoes. Sounded great! I asked for the white cheese sauce which goes on a different crepe to be added to the top of mine and they did so without an issue(3rd picture). I ate a few bites and kept thinking something was missing. I opened the crepe and immediately realized there was no pesto, nut free or otherwise. I waved my server over and explained the problem. She went to talk to the cook and returned to tell me she didn't think he'd added it. Really? I knew that already. I had to ask that she bring some pesto to the table for me to add versus the cook and the server being able to come to that conclusion between the two of them. I prefer not to send a plate back if I can manage otherwise. I added the pesto to the top of the crepes(2nd picture); looks better and WOW!, did it ever taste better. CONCLUSION: If you are willing to take the chance that your chicken won't be overcooked and that everything which is supposed to be a part of the dish is actually there when it arrives at the table, go for it. It does have amazingly good flavor provided by the pesto without which it is a bit on the bland side. As for the 1st picture, that is the New Lemon Ricotta Blueberry French Toast which was ordered by the other member of my party and which she recommends whole heartedly. She said it was wonderful and advises, don't put the lemon slice which is on the top aside because it's not just garnish. Squeeze that lemon over the French Toast. Whatever you do, don't put syrup over your French Toast either. Of course we always do use syrup at home but she says this is perfect without it and all of the fresh creamy citrusy blueberry flavor would just be lost if you do. She also ordered 2 slices of bacon on the side but we decided not to photograph it because it was just bacon, you know? She drank sweet tea and I had half and half tea, 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweetened for those of you who may not be familiar with it. The 1/2 and 1/2 tea is not on the menu, just ask and they'll be happy to oblige. Note: I didn't order the Swedish Crepes on this visit but I do want to tell you that they are to die for. Two crepes filled with lingonberry preserves, topped with lingonberry butter, and dusted with powdered sugar. I could eat this ANY time of day or night. Don't hesitate to ask for an extra helping of the preserves as well as extra lingonberry butter, I always do and I promise you won't regret it. They have my highest...
Read moreFive of us arrived at 2:00 am and ordered our meal. There were only 4 other tables but they had all gotten their food. It took us an hour to get our food and then part of the sampler plate was missing and our pancakes were missing, also. We asked the waitress and she started to break down crying. We told her it was ok and she asked us what all we needed. She brought half of the pancakes out and we asked for hot syrup and our other pancakes. She left and didn't come back. Someone in our party went and found her and she stated that she would bring it out. She still didn't return so we found another waitress to help us. The other waitress finally came back and gave us the hot syrup, but now our pancakes were very cold. The waitress started to cry again. She was very sweet and we felt bad for her because she didn't seem to be able to do more than one thing at a time and it was upsetting her. Several other things went wrong as far as refills and getting the tickets out. One of the older waitresses told us that this wasn't uncommon for this to happen and that management was a huge part of the terrible service. We spoke with the manager and asked for some help on our ticket because of how long it took and how many mistakes were made. They only took $6.00 off of the ticket, which was just a drop in the bucket. This really was a terrible experience and the manager just stood by and never offered to...
Read moreGoing to take you on a step-by-step of my experience tonight at ihop.. First when we walked up to the counter the manager didn't know who was next to take the next customer. After all of them discussing it a bit I got a little annoyed because who cares whose turn it was, just help the customer. I can't remember the woman's name who was our waitress but she didn't smile or have a positive attitude. I ordered buttered toast and an omelette with no onions. On some of the food they were out of certain ingredients but this was not her fault. Toast had no butter. When I got my omelette it did have onions, the little diced ones you really can't pick out. The pancakes were crunchy and dry. She checked on us a few times throughout the visit and at the end when she was handing me my check was the only time she smiled or had a positive attitude. I asked for multiple to go boxes since we barely touched our food, she brought me back less than I asked for. So I had to cram everyone's food into two boxes. When I went to check out I had to wait a few minutes for someone to come out to the counter, employees passed me but didn't say anything. Not even a "someone will be right with you" luckily the woman at the pay counter was friendly. Her attitude was the best part of my service... no offense but that...
