Waffle House — Restaurant in West Monroe

The music was SOOO LOUD I could barely hear myself think!

The food was good as usual. The service was good as usual. I don't know if someone had already paid for a lot of juke box songs, but it was SOOO LOUD that I could not enjoy the evening at all. When I asked if it could be turned down, I found out that the remote was locked up on the manager's office. That is not wisdom.

In a diverse society where people have very differing musical tastes it is not wise to cram a particular brand of music down the throats of all who choose to eat at the restaurant. If it is a little softer, one can ignore it and still enjoy his visit.

If Beethoven's 5th symphony or Handel's Messiah had been playing I would have loved it, but many people would revolt at having to hear a LOUD version of Classical music. If it had been turned down a little the DEPRESSING country lyrics that were playing wouldn't have bothered me because I could have focused on my conversation with my lovely wife.

While waiting to be served I heard the cook shouting at an older gentleman saying what are you deaf I’ve already told you the same thing three times the older gentleman said my hearing is fine but the mask has your words muffled. He paid his ticket and left. I ordered the all star breakfast eggs over easy, wheat toast, sausage coffee my server Jade was so sweet and gracious took my order when my food was delivered the eggs were so hard I had to cut them with a knife the toast and sausage was burnt. I pointed this out to my server who wanted to make it right but I had heard enough of the cooks screaming, ranting and raving. When I asked who she was she informed me that she was the supervisor “Olivia” and she had the authority to behave anyway she chose my reply to her was yes mam you do and I have the choice to never come back and I won’t. This is the second time I’ve dealt with this rude lady and I won’t anymore. Better luck to others who...

I am not one to complain because I work in restaurant. But we waited on our food and they were so fast maybe 10 mins total but there were a roach crawling above my daughter's head and she started screaming I said don't make a scene it maybe came off someone in there, but less than 2 mins later I looked and there was 2 more crawling up my side almost touching me. I then started screaming and I told the employees I am sorry we can't stay this is nasty and we can't do roaches. They proceeded with an eye roll like we should have just been ok sitting there with roaches crawling everywhere. I have never saw anything this bad in a food establishment. They need there doors closed untill they can take care of infestation. We had to shake our clothes out before getting in our vehicle. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!. WE LIVE IN TEXAS AND WAS PASSING THROUGH FROM NC BACK TO TEXAS. WE WONT EAT IN MONROE...
