It is very unfortunate that this place clearly does nothing value their work. I am the most easily-going consumer and their recent customer service was piss poor. I have never gone out my way to write a review but this place left a terrible impression on me and should not even be in business. The first Nexgen french manicure I received here looked half decent. What bothered me most is the owner was very distracted while servicing me i.e. on the phone texting, calling her supply company, getting up to take care payments. In between all this movement, not once did she wash her hands or apply gloves. Considering all these things, I gave an $5 tip because I believe a tip is earned and I did not even want to give a $1 extra than what I was charged. Two days after getting them done the dip started cracking, internally. I did not brush it off because I spent money and tipped for a service that looks poor and not well done. Being they are a business, I decided to swing by and show the owner her work. She did not even look surprised that they were cracking and told me to come back next week if they get worse because she did not have time to address the problem then and there, fine understandable (the easy-going customer I am). I followed her suggestion even though I knew they were going to get worse and Iâd be in a cracking set for a whole week. I called the week later and asked if I could have the service rendered again at a discount (yes, I had to offer the resolution because all i received back was âwow Iâve never seen that happen before). The owner agreed to give me a discount so I made an appointment to get my set redone (that I still had to pay for). I came in for my second set that i made an appointment for and was told I had to wait and they called me earlier (BUT left nooo voicemail). I got the second set done and they looked great. I got a measly 20% off and I tipped yet again another $5 because I had to wait for my appointment. The owner gave a condescending look that I saw underneath her mask as a remark to the tip I provided. At that very moment, I knew they were an entitled shop who did not care about the impressions given on new comers, they only valued their regulars. Left and long behold cracking AND even chipping the very next day. Called and explained to the owner hoping that I could come in soon since I was in the area. She said to come in two hours to get it fixed or Iâd have to wait 5 days later in order to fix ONE NAIL. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE?! Itâs unfortunate that i gave them 2 chances to honor their work and they failed each time. The owner left me in a poorly done full set to show all my friends and family how terrible it was. If you care about your business and your work, you wouldnât let clients show off trash. Now thatâs people that couldâve gotten business done in your establishment but will never.    Read moreI was just here getting nexgen nails and I didn't know the name of the lady who did mine but she was kind of a caramelly-blonde girl. My experience was awful. When I called in before I showed up, I was told that a full set for nexgen costs $30. That is the price that is also listed on the board inside. When I sat in the chair to start, she informed me that because I wanted tips (which should be included in a full set) I had to pay an extra $5. She then told me that because I wanted them coffin shaped, that was an extra $5. An extra $5 for a SHAPE?! I can understand the cost for supplies for the tips but for a simple coffin shape? You have to be kidding me. I'm pretty sure she was conning me for money because that has never happened before. So anyways, I agree to the price and move on but it got worse. Throughout my entire time there she was being extremely rude towards me and rolling her eyes, for what reason? I have no idea. At the very end, she was putting on a top coat and a piece of glitter had fallen into the polish on my nail and it was very apparent so I asked her if she could just WIPE IT OUT with the brush.. She ignored me at first and then when I said something again she said "wow you are sooo picky".... Excuse me? I am paying, what seems like extra, for these nails so YES I will be picky. She didn't end up fixing the nail and when she realized I was mad, she offered to fix it but I declined. I just wanted to leave. I've been here before and liked the place a lot but I will no longer be a customer of city nails because of the rudeness...
   Read moreIf I could give my service zero stars I would. I planned a trip and I wanted to get my nails done. I didnât want anything crazy I just wanted a French tip which he told me was gonna be $110 which is insane. He ended up only charging me about $84 but my nails were awful. I didnât really look at them as I was leaving the store but I seen them briefly and thought they were fine and told her it was good, I like them. I got in the car and we looked at my nails and realized I didnât like them they were chunky and uneven. I called the store the following morning to explain to them that I really didnât like my nails and I wondered if they could do anything as I had a trip I donât wanna go with my nails looking crazy. The lady on the phone was extremely offended and rude and told me that the the person who did my nails and never had an issue at their location before to which I responded well..thereâs an issue now..so.. Im a returning customer and I usually like how he does my nails and this time I just didnât like it as I explained to her and she replied that their location needed to make money after I told her that I paid for a service that I donât like. I didnât wanna go back in there after my altercation on the phone with the lady and on my trip about a day later all of the nails chipped off because they werenât glued on properly. I paid $85 for my nails to last one day and they were ugly. Never going back...
