GOT RICE? — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

I cannot rate the food as we never got our order. Yes it was Christmas Day and yes I anticipated packing my patience when I went to pick up the order I had placed earlier in the day for a 5:30 pick up. I did not expect it to be ready and was understanding about that. What I did not expect was for there to be one, yes only one person working, that person was in the kitchen. I arrived at 5:15 there were others waiting for their orders that were already way overdue. No one came out of the kitchen for at least the first 10 minutes. When they did come out I showed him my order confirmation which reflected the 5:30 time. he said it was not yet 5:30 and the order would be ready soon. I thanked him and was ok waiting knowing the order was at least on the radar. Fast forward it's now 6:00 and myself along with many others still waiting with no idea what is going on as the guy never came out of the kitchen. people were trying to cancel their orders through the site the orders were placed with no success. One gentleman was on the phone with his CC company to get his cancelled. I finally went to the kitchen door to try and get the guy's attention, he came out and again said the orders, mine and the others were almost done. Another 15 minutes or so go by, he finally comes out with one order. I then ask about all the others and he proceeds to say he doesn't have those started yet. Two of us wanted refunds, and he brings out gift cards. we pretty much laughed in his face. He does finally start working to credit one customers order. I had no patience left, called my CC company to deal with it, being mine was a pending order they told me to wait and see if the charge goes through and then I could dispute it. No surprise the charge went through so I am now disputing. All and all a horrible experience. • UPDATE * It seems like the lovely family that owned ‘Got Rice’ have sold it. I would have loved to continue to patronize it but sadly that will not be the case. Everything, service, food etc. has changed - and unfortunately not for the better! Sadly I have nothing positive to offer. We’ve lost a great eatery and will not be back. ——————————————————————————

Sometimes you are lucky enough to find a gem of a place that provides great food & service every time - Got Rice is just that type of place. We have been patronizing Got Rice for a number of years now and Tiffany and her husband are definitely 'knocking it out of the ballpark.' The food is always good and the service is to match with a great little team including Vicky, Timothy & Nancy. (Sorry if I have missed anyone out.)

They do a great lunch and dinner special and the prices are not crazy. Takeout and dine in are both always good.

Although it's a small place, there's something special about Got Rice and somehow I always feel like I'm eating with family.

DO NOT EAT HERE! My husband and I both have been in the bathroom all night puking and other things. We both ordered a dish with tofu. We also ordered the vegetable dumplings they tasted like salt and disgusting I don't even know what flavor it was but it was so nasty I couldn't eat it there was like 5 Guys with us so I gave it to one of them. They each tried one and agreed. My husband got General Tso's with tofu it was just Whole Food breaded and deep-fried it was horrible the sauce taste like fructose corn syrup soy sauce and maybe a little bit of marmalade it was a nasty. I ordered the orange tofu it was so bad I sent it back I ate the white rice with some soy sauce on it which was the best decision but I put some of the sauce from my husband's to taste it on my rice bad decision. The other guys we were with didn't feel comfortable sending their food back so they ate it and then he put on their Facebook worst Chinese food I've ever had and we love some Chinese this place was horrible.
