I won't shop here again. Less than 5 years ago I purchased almost $3,000 in living room furniture, a sofa and a love seat at the Haverty's on Okeechobee Blvd. Within a few months, the stitching on the sofa started coming apart and the back on my loveseat also started coming apart. I called in to have them come out and look at it since it had been only a few months and I had spent the extra money on the warranty plan. They sent out a man to come and look at my furniture and he instantly blamed my dogs. Mind you, they weren't even allowed in that room and haven't chewed on anything since they were 6 months old. (They're 9 now and they were about 4 years old back then.) The defects with the sofa had nothing to do with them. Again, they hadn't even been near them. I tried to call and speak with a supervisor multiple times, even going into the store and asking to have someone else come out and inspect the furniture. No-one would help me solve the problem. I never received a phone call back and was ignored everytime I tried to contact the store again. Needless to say, I got stuck with the furniture and the bill. I finally paid it off and have finally saved enough to refurinish the entire room. These sofas have only gotten worse with time. I don't even let company go into that room to sit. It's embarressing. I'm now going to refurnish the entire space but I'll never spend my money there again. I've purchased furniture at another competitors store and it's lasted me YEARS. Well over two decades. I trusted Haverty's to try some place new and I won't make that mistake again. The fact that I have to go and buy this whole new room again after less than 5 years, isn't ok with me. The fact that I paid good money for new furniture and just a few months later was being ignored for simply wanting someone to fix what was then a small problem, isn't ok with me. The fact that they would call me day after day to tell me about deals so I would go in and spend my money but when I had a problem after purchasing, they ignored me, isn't ok with me. Save your money! Serioulsy! I don't want this happening to someone else. I'm working on a teachers salary in Florida and I work really hard to treat myself to things. This was a waste of hard work! Be advised that once you buy and you're locked in, you're also stuck and not valuable anymore. I should've stayed loyal to my other furniture store. I've never been treated that way with them and I regret opening myself up to trying a new place. Trust me! You'll be treated with more respect...
Read moreWe purchased 1 single Sleeper sofa in April. It is now the end of August and it has been pushed out 4 times. Yes. The delay is a major inconvenience (I have family coming to stay with us September and we have no couch for them to sit on) but I can understand the delay since its out of their hands I guess but what I don't understand is the lack of professionalism and class. They never called us to tell us about the delays nor to apologize for the inconvenience. Only reason we know is because my husband kept calling and asking for updates. One guy even told him, "Sir we just can't produce a couch out of nowhere". And so we decided to cancel our order and the guy that helped which is the same guy that sold us the couch didn't talk to my husband. He walked to his desk and didn't even care to tell him to follow him. My husband followed him and sat down. He typed around, got up grabbed a paper and handed to my husband and said nothing. Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTED…. I stopped in looking for a recliner. I found one and went to place the order when I was informed by my sales guy “Phil” that the item was discontinued. He stated I could buy the floor model but since it had about a six inch cut in the leather he would look for another floor model in another store and contact me. Shortly after leaving the store he called and stated that was the ONLY one left in that color anywhere. I said I would still be willing to purchase it as long as they would agree to fix the cut. He agreed said they have a guy who will come into the store take care of it then call me. Fast forward four weeks me calling him four times and after every conversation I was promised he would call me to give an update by the end of the week.
