Terrible. Went into the store yesterday to buy an appliance package I’d decided on. Spent 40 minutes in the store trying to find someone to help me. I even called the front desk from inside the store. I ultimately went and spoke to the girl that answered the phone at the front desk after waiting 15 minutes longer than the 15 minutes she told me it would be. It took 3 people (a salesperson, assistant manager, and a manager) another hour and a half for the order to be prepared and pricing to be corrected to reflect the advertised price of the appliances (missing coupon codes, “the system”, salespersons inability to operate the system, and lack of availability of someone who could). After more than 2 hours in the store, I check out with a delivery date of June 25th. This morning, someone new to this process calls from the store to inform me that the delivery date will now be after July 8th. I request a manager and get Dale. He was the most unhelpful and incompetent of all. At one point he told me the inventory changes and that this is “just the appliance industry”. He went on to say that since I ordered 4 appliances together, the delivery date would be changed to reflect that latest date ALL appliances will be available and that could change due to damages and lack of availability from the manufacturer. WTH? Tell me in the store that I could be waiting indefinitely for the appliances and give me the option BEFORE I spend thousands of dollars to consider another option. Who even knows if or when these appliances will come. Awful experience. Definitely the most under informed, under trained, ineffective group of sales people and department managers I’ve ever dealt with anywhere. Especially Dale! Save yourself the aggravation and buy your appliances at Lowe’s ! Who knows how long I’ll be dealing with sorting this out and I’ve already invested several hours. What a...
Read moreMost Home Depot are hit or miss. If it's crowded you get no help. Or you show up when they are all on lunch and can't find anyone.
I'm sure that this place has its bad days but I hardly ever have a bad time here.
The employees are always helpful and, unlike many HDs, the majority of the faces are the same.
What makes a good Home Depot to me is the employees, and the stores that have the most long term employees are the best ones. I don't know the numbers or the statistics in this store, I only know it seems like they are very steady with lots of regular full time employees.
I've shopped in just a out every department there. I can't think of any I haven't been in. Whenever I needed help, the staff was always knowledgeable and gave me the answers I needed, or, found someone who could!
I've returned many a product here as well. One of the best things about The Home Depot is their 90 day return policy! So I always buy more than I need for most projects knowing I can return any excess. The return/customer service people are always more than happy to help.
We've had products delivered. Several times in fact. Lawn tractor, building materials, shed, and on and on. Never had a problem other than some damage to some sheetrock and a mirror on one delivery. The store sent more out the next day and even sent some extra for the inconvenience.
I am happy this Home Depot is so close to my house too. I'm there...
Read moreDaughter went to meet delivery serviceman outside. Asked him to push the one thousand pound plus goods 10-15 extra feet so it would be on the porch instead of the middle of the driveway. According to my daughter, he said "I'm just going to put it right here" and dumped it in the middle of our driveway.
My son, daughter, and I immediately spent twenty minutes of manual labor moving a thousand pounds (or more) of home goods out of the driveway, as snow was less than two hours away. All this could have been avoided with 20 seconds of extra effort by the deliveryman who had a hand truck.
I call Home Depot and asked if they use subcontractors to deliver, or their own employees. Get told they use their own employees. I explain the situation; they ask me if I paid extra for their "delivery service to move the supplies" by the dictionary definition of a Karen. I am galled - I didn't realize I needed to pay extra money to get my products put on my porch instead of dumped in my driveway. Tell them I'd rather pay slightly more to Lowes than pay slightly less for lazy and rude service.
2/5, only because they delivered in a...
