When Medicaid forced me to lock into one pharmacy, even though I don't live in Westlake, I chose Caraway's . It turned out to be a very wise decision. The entire pharmacy staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. They anticipate my needs and act accordingly. The service I receive at Caraway's far exceeds the service I got at the last pharmacy I used and it is a reputable chain. But I can't tell you how many mistakes they made in the time I was there. Caraway's is locally owned and operated and has catered to the locals for many years. They have never made any mistakes since I joined them a few years ago. Needed to get my testosterone shots refilled and was told they would not run my insurance due to them losing money. Not my problem, I have insurance for a reason!! They told me that if I didn't like it then I could get it filled elsewhere. So I did!! Ever since the owner passed, the customer service went down hill!! The only pharmacy in SWLA to consistently carry/stock medications without shortage issues. For this reason, four stars for their ability to fill medication fast and efficiently.

However, there are several reasons why they can do better in the community. Read carefully.

-Caraway's will not provide any type of contraceptive/birth control, due to their religious beliefs. Please be aware that there are no exceptions for usage to control female illnesses (endometriosis, PCOS, ovarian cysts, etc).
