Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Wethersfield

Went to purchase a plant as I was shopping I noticed cans of boba tea. I decided to choose two of the cans that had many flavors to choose from that was not in boxes. Once I got to check out the cashier said they couldn't ring up. I asked can you call a "manager" and maybe she can do it? I told her were I found them and she called over another employee from the service desk. Then she sent the employee to check the price. The employee came back with a entire case and said to me, you have to buy the box. I told her there are alot of single cans which was about a case that were singly and 2 cases not opened. She said well you can't purchase unless you buy the box. I told her I don't want the box they were all on the shelf as singles. The employee became disrespectful and adamant that I buy the box. I ask the cashier that was checking me out is this employee a manager? She then tells me no. I said well can you please call a "manager?" She finally calls the manager. While we waiting for the manager my husband was asking the cashier can you ring them up as miscellaneous drinks? The other employee got angry and started over talking him loudly and said NO and was mean mugging him. I told her she doesn't have to do all of that. So she walked off. The cashier then says to me I'm so glad you told her that and the cashier starts telling me alot of their employee conflicts and situation umongs them. The manager finally comes and she looks at the product and say no I can't ring it up. With out trying or even want to be bother with the situation. So I politely ask the cashier can u please give me corporate number and also the employee name. She finally writes it down with the wrong store number on paper. Then I ask for the receipt for my plant. She finally gave it to me after about 5 more minutes of telling me all there work issues. On a nice Sunday all I wanted was a beautiful plant and a boba tea. Not a headache! I call corporate left a message with a live person. No call back from corporate. Store number was 323 location. Ocean State Job...

Update: Lose one star for prices on the shelf not matching the product. $4.99 coffee was $7.49 at the register. This is unexcusable. I'm still finding items on the shelves that don't match the prices listed near them. And once a product is out of stock, it possibly will not be restocked. I guess you could say that gives my food choices some (forced) variety. Friendly staff. Large selection of assorted product. The store has really cleaned up from what it used to look like. Not my usual kind of store. Found several items on my shopping list, as well as some other items that actually cost more at Walmart. Worth it to keep an eye out for "Crazy Deals", where they give you back what you spend on a gift card. Update: I stopped in today looking for tools to supplement my EDC, I was disappointed, I really thought they had more in stock. However, I did find a Tablet cover case that will fit my new tablet, almost exactly what I was looking for online, For $3 it's worth the try. Lots of surprises in the isles if you want to look for them in this slightly disheveled store. Today I found an item inexpensive enough to cut up for a project. If it doesn't work out, then it's no big loss. Overall, I'm impressed with the what can be found...

This was a really great place I found so many different things that you can buy there that you can imagine from kayak to school supplies to food to home supplies is so many different areas so it's really a great story to go to the staff for every friendly and it wasn't overly crowded when I went which is on a Sunday so morning I really had a lot of fun. Because I'm going to go to nursing school in the fall and take classes doing this summer I hit the stationary school supply so for some of those students have parents are really looking to get good prices on school supplies that were amazing I spent $10 and more three files one subject notebook a in text file holder two scissors two pens and eraser and that was just for like under $10 so if you really looking for a deal in school supplies that's definitely a good place to go and addition to many other areas that you can...
